I just wanna say, as a pastor AND as someone whose grandma also was in a nursing facility with dementia for the last days of her life, THANK YOU TO THE STAFF AT FACILITIES LIKE THIS. You have a hard job, long hours, little pay, and constant heartbreak, doing what many families wish they could.

My mom had Alzheimer’s. She didn’t think my dad was her husband, but her helper. I asked if he was kind and if she liked him. She said he was pretty handsome for an old man 😂❤️

The person he wrote this about passed during Covid, he made an amazing post about her. So he had this experience

Thank you for this one sweetie, what a blessing. I've not heard it before. Many of my folks have taken care of the elderly. I think it's a special calling. It's a blessing to actually find our true calling. Thank you for your reactions, I really enjoy your enthusiasm and insights.

Great reaction, my grandpa who served in the Korean War unfortunately passed away in a nursing home surrounded by his family, the staff at the nursing home was caring and helpful, they went above and beyond to help him, and give us space and time to say our goodbyes and grief.

I had a sister die from Alzheimers. She just drifted away until she was just a ghost. I pray that she up there laughing and happy, where there's no such thing as dementia.

Another song I knew would hit you hard my friend.🤎 Yes, it's a sweet loving song showcasing how important people who work in these places are to those who reside there. My grandma was the same way. She was nearly 97 when she died and in the last two years, we lost her to dementia. It was painful to visit her and not have her know who I was at times. I hold dearly to the memories we created together.

This song hits close to home for me cause my mom had dementia, she died at the young age of 64. Her biggest fear was she wasn't going to remember us.
@francesostrowski23747 ай бұрын
My mom was always afraid of this too. I promised her she would die at home as long as she wasn’t a danger to herself. I told her if she did get dementia she wouldn’t realize it so not to worry. Fortunately I kept my promise and she died at home in her own bed. She made her own decision to stop dialysis after she was also diagnosed with lung cancer.

yeah makes me think of my grandma, she had dementia and all that at the end. i used to stay at her place after school and the last few months she had episodes at night especially where she thought she was on her childhood farm and i was her brother or son,

I haven’t heard this in a while, but as always I cried. Emotional, it hits close to home for me. My mother lost her battle with dementia in 2015. What a cruel cruel disease. Craig thank you for your reactions, your being open and not afraid to show your emotions. ❤
