All of his live performances in Vegas are incredible. You need to check more of them out. Also Elvis had a fascination with martial arts at an early age and held a black belt in karate. Hence the incredible moves in this video. He was awarded the 8th degree black belt in 1974. You know I love me some Elvis AND you get to hear him say "thank you very much" in the end. Exactly. I remember seeing him talk about his black belt in interviews. He was proud of his physical ability. It makes what happened towards the end even sadder. Such a waste. Such a shame. His torso was the reason Ed Sullivan ordered the cameras to show him only from the waist up. He seems so tame now but his movements were considered lewd back then. Wow, how things have changed in my lifetime!

@@karensilvera6694 I was in the 7th grade and living in Memphis. I loved him all my life and married into an EP freak family lol. They have so many stories, from my mother in law seeing him at a bowling alley and taking the butt of the cigarette that he put out (she still has it) and getting a pic with him to my husbands uncle just being at Graceland and Elvis drives in and he takes off running trying to meet him. And yeah, he got arrested but the charges were dropped. So many great stories that we all still talk about. Our love for his music has passed down to my daughter and 14 yo granddaughter who proudly wears her Elvis shirts to high school

They did those transitions during the song so effortlessly because he had certain signals he gave to the band while the song was being performed. They knew that they always had to keep their eyes on him at all times, because he'd change things up on the spur of the moment. Notice the connection with him and his drummer. The dance moves he'd do were kind of like a challenge between the two of them. And for every move Elvis made there was a beat of the drum. He kept them all on their toes! Love watching Elvis, his band, and back up singers perform!!

Elvis was in charge on stage. A lot of his hand gestures, moves and voice were actually Elvis imploring his band and singers to follow hm, especially his drummer. I was fortunate to have seem him live 5 times. His live shows were awesome.

Ronnie Tutt his drummer once said playing for Elvis was like playing for a Stripper, You had to watch every move and hit that beat. He and Elvis were so in tune with each other. I really liked your reaction. I envy you. I had just graduated from college the year he died. My parents were both fans, so as a child I think they took me to all his movies. Even the worst of the movies (because the script was not good) had at least one or two good songs. The thrill of seeing Elvis sing to us in glorious Technicolor was worth the ticket price.

Ronnie, the drummer, was awesome in all the live concerts. He said in an interview that Elvis was like following a stripper. 😅He said you never knew exactly what Elvis would do. The whole band was terrific. ❤

Thank you for reacting to Elvis’s music. Elvis didn’t think he’d be remembered. I’m at the age where I was blessed to be able to attend two of his live concerts. I was extremely young, 6 years old and then again at 8. It always touches my heart when this younger generation discovers Elvis.

Elvis was loved because he was the first prominent singer that also entertained. He was in so many movies, in a short period of time, that everyone knew who he was. He was huge. I remember that we used to have this show on Saturday afternoons, called The Wide World of Sports. All kinds of different sports were aired. One Saturday, Elvis had shown up at one of the sports venues. The network cut away from the event, because Elvis had agreed to do a mini impromptu concert. It was crazy. His presence in the world, was many times greater than what we're seeing from Taylor Swift right now. Then, all the sudden, one afternoon, he was dead. Shocked the whole world.

​@@Barbara-lb5ytI was 21 when I saw him in Vegas with my 2 sisters( 24, and 25). We had front row seats and got kisses at every show and he recognized us and talked to us every time. I was so excited that I couldn't eat during the dinner shows. Yes, we were jumping up and down and acting crazy. He thought we were funny. The other 3 concerts, I was married and they were all in Iowa( Des Moines and Ames). I had to behave a bit more with my husband, though he is a fan, too.😂😂🤣

Ronnie Tutt, the drummer, said it was like drumming for a stripper- you had to watch him because the movements changed at will. Someone said he was lipsyncing this song, but that’s just silly - you can hear him dropping a word or syllable here and there, and his breathing…, and you don’t take your eyes off of Elvis, because he’s always doing something unexpected. Dancing - Return to Sender, Mean Woman Blues, what’s the song from Fun in Acapulco where he plays bongo drums?

It's not just his voice though, he was a brilliant arranger and arranged a lot or most of his stuff. As well as his own moves and the way he interacts with his amazing band and if you look at behind the scenes footage, they work really hard but they're really close knit and they have a lot of fun and they prank each other and it was just a wonderful phenomenon.

Great reaction! Many years of Karate contributed to his flexibility. Saw him in Hollywood, FL Feb 1977 when I was 12 with my parents who were huge fans as well (6 months before his death), although slower still put on a great show, especially with that voice. He will ALWAYS be the KING!

I lived in Memphis when Elvis died, I was 19 and the whole city shut down. You should watch "Long Black Limosine" it shows the funeral possession, people were passing out and Memphis ran out of flowers. It was insane.

Elvis began Karate in the Army and studied martial arts the rest of his life. Became a 9th degree black belt. His band were highly regarded top studio musicians and orchestras. He could afford them, and got the top talent. Please react to him introducing his band members.

I frequently pass over your reactions until I see an Elvis one. My passion started 65 years ago at the age of five when I first saw him on my black and white TV. It was the most magical moment I can even remember how I felt I’ve seen Elvis live in concert, and Fax saw him doing this song, suspicious minds. He has been the greatest inspiration in my life a true hero to me now my son and my granddaughter Loves Elvis. Been to Elvis’s house many times. Hopefully we’re all going as a family again next year to take the grandchildren to be an Elvis fan to understand if there’s really no explanation possible unless you feel it. It must be Magic 65 years of past, and I feel the same way. I just love this human being with such passion. God bless you happy holidays.

Thanks for your reaction. Elvis was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, in a 2 room shack of a house his dad built with money he borrowed from his boss. That's how dirt poor they were. He was one half of identical twins; the other boy - Jesse Garon - was stillborn. They were so poor, that Jesse Garon was buried in a shoebox in an unmarked grave. At Graceland they have a plaque with his name on it in his memory. Elvis always got along with the black community and learned a lot about music from his friends of color. Also, according to the one drop rule, Elvis would not be considered white, since he has Cherokee ancestors on both the Smith (his mother) and the Presley (his father) sides of the family. His paternal grandfather, Jesse Dunning Presley, was not happy that his two sons, Elvis' father Vernon and his brother Vester, married two sisters, Gladys and Clettes who were known to have Cherokee blood in their family tree. J.D. Presley was quite the racist a-hole, often drunk and a philandering husband to Minnie Mae (they were actually separated long before they finally divorced in 1954) who was always competing with his sons Vester and Vernon and who was known to abuse his kids when drunk. J.D. was was publicly against race mixing and was in denial about the Cherokee blood in his own family tree. It was more publicly known that the Smith family had Native blood in their family tree, so when both his sons fell for 2 Smith sisters and Vernon, on top of that, was still a minor at 17 when he eloped with Gladys who was 4 years older than him, Jesse was totally pissed off. As a child, Elvis already had many friends in the black community at the time his family was one of 4 "white" families that lived in the predominantly black neighborhood The Hill, just across from Shake Rag. His childhood friend Sam Bell said that some of the (black) kids in that neighborhood had lighter skin than Elvis (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqOpdKyEgtuNjc0). One of Elvis' bodyguards once said that he thought it was a miracle Elvis got into Humes High School in Memphis, because it was "lily white". Elvis wanted to be more open about his Native ancestry, but his manager "colonel" Tom Parker (real name Andreas van Kuijk) was against it because he was afraid it might cost Elvis fans (and himself money). They did have Elvis play characters in his movies though where he had Native American blood (Flaming Star, G.I. Blues, Stay Away Joe). Once Elvis had his own (apprentice) job learning to be an electrician, he saved up his money and bought his clothes in the same style that many of his friends of color wore. He was called a (forgive me, just stating facts here) "n-lover" and got beaten up several times too. Later, when he was an established star, he would not perform at places where the members of color of his back-up band/orchestra weren't allowed.

I’ve watched so many videos about him and there is one thing for certain that man was put on this earth to entertain. He was one of a kind…probably the most famous entertainer and yet he thought he’d be forgotten, was incredibly generous (highly recommend watching a video called 200 Cadillacs about his generosity) and his talent was unreal. Imagine going to a show and seeing that quality of a performance without lip syncing.

there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and i understood him we cared about each other faults and all. What it comes down to is we both needed a friend and we were that for each other. Elvis loved Gospel music and the men back up singers were a gospel quartet. You can watch on KZbin a Video from PBS about his love of Gospel music. He had trouble sleeping and he and the quartet and others would sing for hours with sometimes Elvis playing the piano.

All these years later. No one comes close to Elvis. I saw him in Los Vegas about this same time. My mother left this show being a convert. If you knew my mother this was huge. He is still the best. Great reaction.

Love, love, love your reactions to the first time seeing Elvis in motion. He had it all, the whole package. As an Elvis fan for over 60 yrs I am so excited that people like you are rediscovering a true icon. He left us a huge legacy. There are some good songs in his movies. Check out the intro to King Creole Crawfish and the whole concert from Aloha from Hawaii, the 1968 Comeback special and all the Las Vegas tour. His versatility is amazing. Always in sink with his musicians. Didn’t write his music but he produced it. His band responded to his movements and incredible voice. More Elvis please.

He was and still is the greatest of all time to me. Me and my sister saw "Elvis" “The Wonder of You” in Malmö Arena, Sweden 12th of may 2016, with Priscilla as a host, she came out on the stage 3 times and talked about Elvis...there is no one like him, thats it!

I went and saw the movie.. have to say Austin Butler did some justice .. incredible that he was singing himself... I know he won the Golden Globe.. he should have won the Oscar.. he immersed himself into Elvis's life for 2 yrs.. I was raised on Elvis.. and I loved the movie.
