Stacey, I recomend you the song."Je t'aime" (I love you) live. In one concert she was about to sing and the fans started to sing. She got confused and I person from the audience said (I'm not sure, but it's what I think she said): "Ne chante pas, Lara!" (Don't sing, Lara). They kept on singing and she did it, too. In the chorus she sings: "Je t'aime" and they sang "Ont'aime" (We love you). It's Nous ont'aime, but in French (and other romance languages, like mine) "Nous" (we) can be omited because people understand because the verb changes if it's Je (I), Tu, (You) Il/Elle (You, for men)/for women) Nous (We), Vous( You), Ils/Elles (They). It was so beautiful, she was singing and she got emotional and kept on singing. At one point she couldn't because she got too overwealmed and she let them sing alone the rest of the song. It was very beautiful. I don't know how to copy links over here but in the"slide" of the video she is crying and the surroundings is dark green. I think you'll find it.

I highly recommend that you watch her 2001 live performance of "Je t'aime" (I love you) in Paris. She was going through a very difficult time and her fans knew it. When the music started and she couldn't start the words, her fans sung it not just for her but to her. But what's most amazing is that when they sang it back to her they switched the words and sang "on t'aime" which means We love YOU, which is why she was so incredibly overwhelmed. Enjoy!

Not stopping the video, forgetting that you were shooting a reaction video, is as pure a reaction can be . The song was written by french singer Serge Lama and he just put on paper how he felt about the toxic relationship he had with his girlfriend at that moment . When Lara sings it, she invests herself so much into the song, that the story she's telling becomes hers, she's living the song, and she's legit emotional, and the story is one that we can all relate to : we all felt heartbroken once in our lives, many of us have been in a toxic relationship at some point . And Lara is so great at delivering the story, that even if you don't speak french, if you don't have the lyrics, even if you don't understand one word she's saying, you still feel every emotions . The sadness, the loneliness, the despair, the anger, she is broken and you feel it all .

What you need to know is that this song was written in 20 minutes in 1973 by a singer named Serge Lama before being covered by Lara Fabian. And the best part (it's a well-known story in France) is that this song is a true story. The singer was married and met a woman who was also not free. This song was a way to put words to his pain. But the story ended well, the singer and the woman to whom this song was addressed then formed a happy couple. Serge Lama is still alive, his wife died in 2016.

Very relatable for those who once or twice lost someone they magically felt connected with, and from which a large group in the world even went one step further to escape the desperation. The song I'm Sick is inspired by a real heartache of Serge Lama, the story of a long secret relationship. In 1969, the singer met Michèle Potier in Chamonix. Love is a certainty, but they are not free either: in 1968 Daisy Brun married her press secretary, she is married and the mother of a little boy. They love each other in secret for several years and promise to regain their freedoms, but Michèle hesitates and eventually flees and settles in Morocco for professional reasons. Lama is desperate, he wants to put words on his pain without succeeding, until the day he confides to his friend Alice Dona: "This story hurts me, it makes me sick". Back home, at the piano, Alice Dona composes in a few hours a melody [...], which very quickly she makes listen to the singer. It is a revelation and Serge Lama writes almost the entire text with a jet.3 He would later say, "The 80% of the song I wrote in 20 minutes is almost a shame. [...] it came out of my heart so much that I immediately felt that this song had something that others didn't have. ». The great Serge Lama...

rtbf article: The drama song par excellence. A song from 1973 that describes our state of decay when we love madly… Our status as living waste when we beg for this love which is - at worst - refused to us, at best - given to us like we throw a bone at a dog scabby… And - in both cases - in a very cruel way. "I'm sick" is the story of a man who lives the humiliation of not finding any qualities if the woman he loves is not there to remind him of them. I am sick" is a very intimate song since it tells a true story… When Serge Lama writes it, he is madly in love with a woman who is already married - he himself is linked to someone… This clandestine relationship is really going last two years with this woman who is called Michèle and who will be his wife until her death last year... What is interesting in "I am sick" - we will hear it - is the tone that the character takes to say how much he is angry with this woman who abandons him... But - if we listen carefully - the vehement tone , the anger that Serge Lama expresses - this anger is not only addressed to his mistress, but also to his mother… With whom - obviously - he has an account to settle… It's in the chorus: "I'm sick. Like when my mother went out at night and left me alone with my despair." This abandonment of the mother is also specified when he says "I am like an orphan"… Passing through his mistress, he reproaches his mother for what she has done to another man… By reproaching his mistress for putting him down , he takes up the defense of another man - and this man is his father… When we inquire, we learn that Serge Lama's father was an artist - an operetta singer - that his career did not have. not taken off … We discover that his mother pushed him to give up the life of an artist and take a job to support his family. And it is through his son that the father says to his castrating wife - singer father: “However, I - I had talent. You deprived me of all my songs. You deprived me of all my words. "
