Middle aged dude in his 40's here and yeah, totally got emotional during the live stream. The sheer # of reactors and people commenting that this has brought them to tears really means something. We though Linkin Park was gone for ever and to hear new music from them again is just bringing so many people joy. How can that be a bad thing and the song is on the nose.... anyone else who just wants find mud to sling or dwell in the past are very much stuck in an emptiness machine. Attending the reunion concert is a moment I’ll never forget. Seeing Emily walk onto stage after Mike’s first part of the song was wild - but hearing her sing was something else. I'm right there with you, I had a ticket to see them, but Chester got injured one or two shows prior and they canceled the tour...he was gone not long after that ☹️ I try not to beat myself up for waiting so long to make the decision to see them, since nobody saw his death coming. But I welcome the opportunity to be able to see them live again

Imagine all the pressure you got to have on your shoulders being the first official LP vocalist after Chester's passing. She's got this. Don't judge her vocals and presence right now, she will breath easily under water after she'll feel our warmt welcoming throughout our appreciation and acceptance. For so long depression had the best of me.... After watching the live stream the other day, I'm smiling, and I mean, SMILING.... This is so awesome. And with the smile tears of joy. For so long, I’ve been so devastated for Mike the rest of the band. Because they lost their brother and Band-mate , but they also lost their baby, their band, their creative outlet, their livelihood ripped away. They have to live on with an enormous hole in their heart and h their lives with no blueprint on how to move forward because they are all still here and life does go on. I cannot imagine how anybody who considers themselves a LINKIN PARK fan could ever begrudge them for moving forward, for doing what feels right when it feels right finding a new singer with such tenderness and patience and deliberation of thought and into another chapter for themselves for the fans and for Chester. I think that we owe them patience and loyalty. For what it’s worth I think that shes fucking awesome But when I watched the livestream I cried…for Mike and the guys.

Emily is Emily, and Chester is Chester. Can't please everybody. I think it's a strong comeback and a new era for the band. The lyrics really hit home on an emotional level. A lot of people are hating on her, but we all have skeletons in the closet. None of us are perfect. What truly matters is her vocal performance, and she's doing a hell of a job.

This morning when I heard the song, the chorus hit me right in my chest and I started crying. I buried so much of my childhood trauma and Linkin Park was one of the bands that defined who I was during those days. It brought everything out and I realized how much Chester helped me as a person. I am so emotional as well seeing, hearing, and feeling the new music. I melt when I hear this song. I cry everytime I see how happy Mike and the band looks from the live stream. I am so pained about all the drama and hate though. I legit cant go on TikTok because 40% of the comments are people bashing her, and LP, saying they should change their name. That they should let all the old songs rest with Chester, how she was a mistake and more. I think she is a perfect fit, perfect choice. She is the best option for LP, she starts this new fresh awakening from inside the band. Also imagine for a second that SHE wrote that song. In advance of all the drama coming her way. Same girl, same! All the feels, the regret, the visuals and vibes, the nostalgia… I’m so happy they’re back, excited to hear more new music and love her voice. I think they chose well, musically. Honestly never heard of Emily before, but she fits their sound very well. I can’t go to live concerts anymore, due to a neurological condition, but I really hope you get to go!! I just know it will be so emotional/healing/provide closure and just so much freakin’ fun! Stray Kids became my ult group a few years ago but Linkin Park was always my only ult Western group, so this comeback makes me so happy! More great music to come!! For me an ult group is one where I enjoy, if not love, every single song they produce. This is rare for me. Same here my biggest regret also was not seeing them live when Chester was alive. I regret it. 😢 In an alternate universe he is still rocking and alive with us. I miss him. My childhood and teenage hood died when he passed away. I followed them when they first started back in the late 90s. Now at almost 36 I can say I'm glad to have witnessed them when they started to now. I wish Emily the best and the rest of the band. Mike did great by choosing Emily. ❤

I relate to your emotions 100%! Absolutely love this band! Been listening since the beginning! My love for them has only grown bigger and bigger. And of course, I adored Chester. He was March to December older than me(same year) so the fact we were the same age basically made me feel even more close to him. I just know he’s smiling down on Mike and the guys for choosing Emily to continue on this legacy of not only him but the band as a whole. LP is a feeling! LP has been my favorite band since they debut with hybrid theory, i was fortunate enough to see them live in 2015 at ROTR and i cried during that set. chester will always be missed but im ready for the future with emily and think she is gonna kill it and do chester proud, im sick of all the hate she is getting right now. im happy that mike, dave, joe and brad are happy and they decided to pick her for a reason! LP forever!

I was never a Linkin Park fan. I mean I didn't dislike them; I just liked a couple of songs but never became a fan of the band. I am a huge Soundgarden fan and it they came out with a new singer that really evoked Chris Cornell but in a new direction I would be emotional, so I am trying to understand the emotion via transference. I do also know Chester and Chris were friends with Chester singing at his memorial before taking his own life which is so sad. I am, however, a huge fan of Dead Sara. Emily Armstrong was my underrated Queen of hard rock vocals. I do really like this song and am going to check out the album when it gets released. If history is any indication, I will then re-visit the previous albums so this may just be creating a new Linkin Park fan.

I was one of the lucky ones… As a man in my mid 40’s I’ve been a fan since the early days and almost every time LP came to uk I managed to get tickets. So when I saw the recent marketing with the countdown timer, I was so excited but quite nervous. I watched the live show, and since also watched the Zane interview, and it’s made me feel so many emotions. Some happy, some sad, some excited, some meh… ultimately I am just happy the band are ok. I’m not going to add anything else because what we are experiencing is a mere microcosm to what they’ve been through. Imagine how they are all feeling too, it makes me tear up just at that thought. All I can add is I can’t wait to see them in this version of LP, many tears have been shed over these last few years, and also these last few days since this release too, some happy, some sad, and that’s ok. Great music video too. Love the new song
