Mathew Liu The Milkman has delivered ,I always rated him he's such a natural player and in full flow no-one faster great to watch. So many years of under achieving I think probably he hardly ever played safety shots.Make no mistake he was under a LOT more pressure than Murphy as losing would have meant re qualifying for the World championship.

Great achievement of Milkins . He won £230,000. After 27 seasons on the professional circuit, he finally reaped the rewards of so much effort and dedication. In all these years this was only his second title. Last year he had won the Gibraltar open, which is obviously a much more modest tournament. But the biggest award, if I'm not mistaken, was being at the top of the ranking so far in the season, which provided him with a bonus of 150 thousand. Merited. It shows how sport is generous in allowing it to be practiced as long as you are healthy. It also shows, and mainly, how it is worth never giving up. You can imagine how much he must have been criticized for giving up family life, looking for another activity... A lot of resilience. A Dreams that came True

There are many players who have been on the pro tour for years & rarely get to the latter stages of tournaments & as a result struggle to earn a living. They believe that one day, they will be on the top of their form when others around are just a little bit off & they will get a result they have worked so hard for so long to achieve & given up so much to get there. I didn't know he had been playing for quite that long, but all the hard work must seem worthwhile right now. Well done Rob.

A lot of people talking about Milkins aggresive shot taking nature but his safety play has been second to none these past few weeks. He’s aways been an incredible potter but the fact that he’s touched up on his defensive game, knowing when to cut his losses and play a telling safety has landed him this prize. Well done lad!

The contrast in styles couldn't be bigger. Murphy - always the smiling showman and cocky aristocratic joker with his flamboyant cue action. Milkins - the hard-working, down-to-earth working-class fellow with his simply "see ball, hit ball" approach. So nice to see Milkins winning in this match-up, he was the better player.

As a snooker lover, I've been focused on him for a few years. He's sharp and offensive player which is really good. I wouldn't want to compare with other player but kind of Ronnie's style. His problem was, concentration. He was so up and down in the games and he lost so many games which he could win easily until now. I always believed that; He's full of potential and ignored his age. Last frame against Mark Allen was epic. Keep going Robert, this is your turn :)
