I'm a big Celtic fan and I have nothing but time for a Ally. I've met countless Celtic fans who say the same. He loves his club but is very respectful and level headed. He's always fair. He carried Tommy Burns into the church during his funeral with Walter Smith (also a top guy) which was so touching and respectful. Whatever our differences, this guy is top class.

It isn’t a lack of finance. In fact if you compare revenues before and after liquidation they’re actually taking in a decent amount for them. The issue is Celtic have outgrown them. Consistently larger average attendances year on year, a massive waiting list, more merchandise sales by a mile, bigger sponsorship deals, larger fees and higher profile opponents in friendlies etc. Celtic’s dominance on the park is just a symptom of the fact they’re a much bigger club.

The Rangers board at the moment, is run by inhospitable bullies, who have been rude and offensive to an American woman from New York who was looking to invest or possibly even takeover the club. Instead of treating the woman concerned with respect and good manners and inviting her to a meeting to hear what she had to say - The Rangers board in their "infinite wisdom" decided that it was in the best interests of the club if one of the board members were to tell the aforementioned woman to go away in a much more aggressive manner - the person who told this US citizen to basically sling her hook was none other than the current Rangers Chairman Me John Bennett, before he was appointed head of the Ibrox club. Rangers supporters wonder why it is that the club continues to appoint managers who aren't really that well suited to the job and why the club doesn't really have much in the way of spending capital? What's more is that rumour would have it that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is supposedly interested in buying Rangers - when you stop and look at the carnage that Boehly has left behind at Stamford Bridge I wouldn't really be going near him with a barge pole. The man is completely and utterly clueless!

Irrespective of who you support and I am definitely a bhoy, it hurts when you lose to your biggest rivals, I’m old enough to have been around for our 9 in a row, the Aberdeen era, our centenary double, Rangers 9 in a row and then ours again. It used to be cyclical, I think this could be a generation of Rangers trying to be a cup team, great for us in the league however; this does us no favours in Europe, there will be supporters amongst us who will love beating Rangers no matter how strong they are, me? As much as I can’t stand Rangers, I’m also fed up with the arrogance & gloating of the Celtic fans. They all want to believe there’s a massive gulf between the teams & clubs, but it’s only temporary & Rangers will be back at the top again in a couple of seasons or so. I’d be surprised if there’s not a big investor who’ll take a chance on them in the not too distant future. No doubt the club has been badly managed & it needs a clear out at board level, but for Rangers fans, all I’d say is don’t forget these bad times, it’ll help you really appreciate the good times ahead, but you’ll have to be patient.
