Great review! It seems unfortunate that it doesn't have a balanced headphone output, and doesn't seem to have a subwoofer output.

If both the RCA and xlr outputs are active at the same time, you could use the one you are not using to go to your amplifier to send the full range signal to the sub; then use the sub's crossover to set the low pass filter. Or if you are using it as a DAC only, hopefully, the preamp you are using has a sub output.

Yes I very much believe it works well with most genres of music
