This video covers how to get to your solenoid to replace it or clean it. This is done on an axe pro but is applicable for everything before the Empire SYX.

How do you know when its time to replace it? I have an axe 1. 0 and after cleaning mine it works great for a bit then just starts shooting REALLY inconsistant in FPS. Then I clean it and it goes back to working. Only seems to last a few shots before it seems to get stuck.

I feel you pain! I just got my back from being factory serviced and after 4 points it started lightly leaking in the frame and now it’s leaking out the breach like crazy.

Sounds like the coil is getting weak. Make sure you are using high quality batteries and then if it keep happening then replace the solenoid. Luckily these are the cheapest solenoids in all of paintball. Make sure everything is clean and dry. No lube or oil.

Heavy breach leak usually means that the solenoid needs to be reset. I don’t think there is any other solution unfortunately.

@@RepairPaintball it's not as much as a leak as in the gun just doesn't push enough air. I'll reset the mood, it shoots great for like 20 shots and then the paint barely comes out of the barrel till i reset the noid. I think it just might be shot and needs a new one. It is the original solenoid after all.

@@RepairPaintball Yeah Ive used about 4 different batteries becuase I know how voltage picky markers can be. Yeah I think its time to retire this old one. Thanks for your input!

Thanks. Was going to sell my axe 1.0 but right before letting it go it wont chrono over 200 tried rebuild orings in bolt . Have stock settings new battery still low fps. So new noid needed?

Make sure you service your poppet before you rebuild the solenoid. Then you can open her up to clean the solenoid. Here is a link my video discussing that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5ipnaRuaZhjkK8

Also check your regulator screw. It should be about flush or just slightly under. If you can feel it sticking out it’s too far. This can also cause you to have low velocity issues. Make sure you don’t over tighten it however as that can permanently damage your solenoid. Once flush, leave it alone and only adjust velocity from the back of the bolt as usual. Good luck!

So my axe 2.0 shoots..but when I pull trigger sometimes it hits and other times it misses and other times shoots 3-4x..it’s set to factory.. any tips
