It's a lead preset from Monark. I don't remember the exact name but if you have Monark you'll be able to find it in the Lead category.

Yeah, you should be able to use multiple outputs and assign different sounds to them. But also you have an extensive selection of high quality effects inside the instrument and these drums are already processed, so you may not need to mix them outside of the instrument.

Yeah the first time I heard Empire Breaks I was in love with it and I'm really looking forward to making some music with it. I feel a bit foolish when I say that I didn't know you could create your own beats using each sound! I thought it was only a set of breakbeats triggered by individual notes on the keyboard! 🙄 Can I ask a question that could ALSO be dumb... You mention that this is a Kontakt instrument and there is obviously Kontakt 7 and all that, but if your using Maschine 2 software/Hardware is there any benefit in using Kontakt as a stand alone preview system? Is it more for people using other DAW's like Logic and Cubase?

In Maschine you just load the presets from Empire Breaks and it would load them through the Kontakt plugin. Kontakt is integrated in the Maschine browser and you don't need to initiate it separately, even though you can do that as well if you want to.

You can if you set up multiple outputs from Kontakt and route it to a different output than the rest of the drums. A workaround would be to use a "ghost" kick on a different track and sidechain to that.
