Yo what’s good bro. Jus found ur channel n I Kant believe u ain’t blown up yet. Quick question: Wld u recommend buying the MK3 as a beginner producer on a budget? Been making beats for like 3 months n wanna get more serious with it. Don’t rlly have much knowledge of music theory n I enjoy sampling melodies way more than playing them so I think it might be a better investment than a cheaper sampler and a keyboard. Ppreciate the tutorials man ur killin it🤟🏼🤟🏼

Glad you're enjoying the videos! It's a tough question. It depends. You may want to get a good grip at the basics first with something cheaper or just using software before spending so much money on a MK3. It's an amazing device but you need to be aware of what you're getting into before buying. This is a great topic for a video btw, I will consider making one, and I will explain in more detail.

Drums are from the Maschine software, the other sounds are from Komplete Select which also comes for free with Maschine. Since then I’ve actually upgraded to the full Komplete 12 but in the video everything comes stock with Maschine.

Great and helpful tutorial. I just recently got into music production and after watching lots of video to see if i wanted to use a DAW or Maschine, i purchased Maschine. I love everything about it but I don't understand the drums. I don't know exactly what snares, hi-hats, kicks, etc are, and where I'm supposed to put them in my beats. Do you think you can make a video explaining what each drum sound is and how they're played?

It’s all about personal preference, but for budget monitors I would suggest the Kali Audio LP6 or the JBL LSR series. I like these better than HS or Rokit. You also need to figure out which size is best for your room.

Hey, so when I open up a new scene I try and clear out one of the patterns I don’t want to play. It clears it out but when I go back to play the first scene I want it on, it’s cleared out there too. Am I doing something wrong? Appreciate the video, it’s helped me a whole lot in learning this beautiful thing 👍
@LowHeatBeats5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this is because it's the same pattern that's used in the first scene. There's an option in the Preferences under the Defaults tab, where you can specify that when you duplicate a Scene, the Patterns are also duplicated, so you can change them without this affecting other Scenes. Or you can just duplicate the actual pattern before clearing the notes in it. Hope that helps.

Someone please help! When I'm browsing for sounds on the hardware and I try loading individual sounds like a kick and snare (not a drum kit) on different pads, the MK3 doesn't let me to do so unless I click out of browser, manually activate a different pad, and then click back to browser to add my sound to that pad. The MK1 and old Mikro didn't have this limitation. I could just browse sounds/samples and add those sounds to any pad I wanted. Am I missing something with the MK3?
@tdo2475 жыл бұрын
Hold down select then hit the pad you wanna add the new drum sound to. That'll become the active pad that the sound from the browser will load to
