I'm tired of waiting for more releases and you already know I'm a massive fan of 3d printing when we can't access certain models officially. If youre in the USA, Wargames Atlantic has their Conquistadors line if you want to use them for Empire infantry, they will also be releasing a Conquistador Cavalry set. The box comes with parts to make halberds, swords/shields, handguns, crossbows

Lovely Stirland scheme. Only change I'd personally make is paint the powder flasks on his bandolier as wood rather than metal. I've a small Stirland band in my Empire army. Some archers, a mortar and crew; and eventually when I get around to it re-painting my spearmen too. I couldn't decide on a single province so I went with a bunch of the south, south-eastern provinces. Each lead by a minor noble with their own contributions to whatever conflict they're being sent to fight.

I’m just getting into the old world and I’m doing a Bretonnian army. I agree, finding models isn’t easy and the more I see if highland miniatures the more I like them. They fit the old world really well and their unit selection is pretty expansive. I’ve ordered my first men-at-arms to start painting and can’t wait for them to get here. More old world videos are great! Longer videos are great too. Make a video painting a while unit. It’s great content to have on while I’m working on models.

Hi from Oz mate. Been binge watching your KZbin channel last 2 weeks. So much awesome content, so much more to watch :). Thank the Spider from me for his recommendation to watch you, on one of his TTT episodes. I have lord Humungus armies for Imperial Knights and Ultramarine and have been looking to seek a new army to flavour my cabinets. However, since watching your shows I have gone from AOS will be my next, to the Bretonnians and now I want to do an Empire army shaped as a Spanish Tercio thanks to this video lol. I saw a guy build an Old World Brettonian army but it was all squigs. Absolutely the best idea. Squig knights, giant flying squigs as pagasi, etc.

Nice paint scheme. Hope GW ramps up production for the other Old World armies. I believe if Cathay (representing the Far East/ Orient) and Araby (representing the Middle Eastern/ Arabic regions)were added to the other armies, the Old World would gain a very large following, as would Kislev and the Chaos Dwarves. The Total war PC games shows all the possible units would be available for Cathay, and GW did have Araby models back in the 80's. Would be great if they follow through on those armies.❤❤😊😊😊

I always use Reikland Flesh Shade for shading gold and orange. I also works pretty well for shading yellow, though I tend to prefer Seraphim Sepia for that.

Highland miniatures fit the old world aesthetic really well. For the most part I prefer their goblins over what GW is currently offering.

Empire is my first love, and that's what I'll be waiting for. When I find any Empire or Empire-adjacent models, I've been buying them. Ironically, I did just get two boxes of Empire Handgunners/Crossbows at the Dallas GT Open, in the GW onsite store of all places.

I've been loving your Old World and AoS painting. I've only painted 40K stuff since I came back to the hobby. However.... I went and got the AoS Spearhead: Seraphon which also just happens to have Old Blood on Carnosaur! Can't wait till it arrives and get my hands on it.

Even if I think that Highland miniatures doesn't offer the best looking or more detailed miniatures (Titan Forge, White Angel, Lost Kingdom or Last Sword, in my opinion are better sculpted) , they capture the essence of Empire miniatures, they are simply stunning. If I decide to have an Estalian army, Highland Miniatures + Conquistador pack is my best option. And I could add also Pirazzo's Lost Legion that keep as a treasure.

Kinda 4 armies you could purchase plenty of chaos warriors atm that's what I am doing in addition to my brets from 2003. But I agree it's foolish of gw not to rush the release for all the cores of the armies at least. They are basically inviting players to seek their core elsewhere and that is perhaps the worst option considering that is the bulk of the army.

Small comment: I really wish you’d have included the “legacy” armies in your count of available armies 😂 It’s possibly the worst decision made by GW in relation to TOW, so the community should go out of their way to ignore it and strongly encourage GW to include those factions in the future - Show that we want it! :D

Agree completely. If we just ignore GW’s “guidelines”, they may be forced to rethink. I wonder if they look at all the people buying third party minis, or printing themselves and think... “What would have happened if we had at least the 9 core factions ready to go on day one?”. For a company that is supposedly so interested in profits, they continually leave piles of money on the table due to their short production runs, lack of capacity and shipping/warehousing issues.

Add to that the large group of people effectively alienated from the game due to their armies being “invalid” in GW’s eyes for arbitrary reasons. Thankfully, most of the community cuts through the BS and ignores this arbitrary restriction.

Unfortunately the game fizzled out for me already. I was afraid that GW would price gouge the items and then not have proper levels of stock for it. I refuse to pay the nothing short of extortion prices here in the USA for these miniatures. I have been so put off by GW and and the prices that I have flat out refused to even consider using supplement miniatures from other companies its just not worth it for me. Nice paint job by the way. Always did like the look of the Empire troops.

Man, I am bummed. We gave old world a try and although we are all old veterans of the hobby, we were really turned off by the amount of rules and skills you need to stay on top off, as well as the horrible way this book is setup. I wanted to like this game so much.

Did a tournament yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic! 20 people there and all seemed like official models but some people used stand ins from AOS! I expected mostly Bretonnians and Tomb kings, but 3 Bret players and 1 TK was a great time! Definitely enjoy the game! I just bought a 3d printer myself and am planning a dwarf army and empire army with the 3d!
