1:41:42 Nikki determines that the second highest is 9 instead of 17. 1:49:13 Her #2 spot is destroyed for a net "gain" of 8 points.

Great game, very interesting and makes you really think.

Looks like a fun, but complicated game! You really have to think 8 moves ahead with some random distructions. I also think it is pretty cool how different the boards are at the end of the game since they started the same

on the question whether a 3 player game is more friendly - no: 4 player has 26 disasters - thats 6.5 per player if evenly divided 3 player has 21 disasters - thats 7 per player so on a 3 player game, you effectively have more disasters to deal with

Dave was commenting on the components at the end. I believe your copy is, in fact, the deluxe version (screen printed tokens, wooden resources, screen printed scoring markers). You were just missing the player mats.

So, if anyone can clarify the iconography. Seems to me that the trade has three versions: a) The grain for an axe or hammer (with the symbol "/" between the two), b) The grain for an axe and hammer (with the symbol "+" between the two) and c) at 56:22 the Barbarians disaster card appears but this one has no symbol....what is the actual trade that can be done with this card (if the disaster was taken and the card added to the array)? Thanks!

RE Lincoln and levels: since you didn't have anything on fire, you could NOT build level 2 vs people with 4 or 5 spaces on fire. So the question is, can you leverage level 2s vs all level 1's?

Yeah, my issues with card based games like Terraforming mars and Empire's End is that a lot of the game depends on the cards we have access to.

I quite like the lightning mode, the full game is great for learning but once you get a few people together than know how to play the lightning mode cuts the playing time down to a much more realistic length for a game like this.

This game have some nice mechanics but my OCD does not like the components. Seems to me I, even carefully, will be moving the position tracker a lot by swapping or putting cards underneath. In a weird way I would have liked it better if you could just stack them on top so the bottom one is your main....seems to be less prone to mess. Otherwise it was a nice playthrough. Thanks!

Thanks for the gameplay everyone! I like the look of the gameplay, but the flipping, tucking, and moving of the cards gives me reservations. I like Space Base, but this seems a bit more fiddley than that. A little hyperbole, but, if I’m spending as much time “fixing” the game state as playing the game, I won’t get the game out as much; unless the gameplay is just outstanding. Time will tell.

At 2.04.09 Dave gets 17 ... he has already got 111 so het gets 128 instead of 123.
@davidarnott60855 ай бұрын
Ha! At least it wasn't *me* doing it to myself this time :) And, of course, it ultimately made no difference. It does kind of make a case, though, for this game maybe wanting an endgame score sheet over a track... though the track is perfect for all the little in-game scoring.
@luclemahieu32125 ай бұрын
@@davidarnott6085 Indeed it doesn't make a case .... so thanks for another great game. Greetings from Belgium.

I've enjoyed this episode, but I cannot say I would enjoy the game. This game has a lot of 'negative feedback'. You have to bid on disasters, things which in essence you do NOT want to gain. I'd much rather play a bidding game in which you have to bid on things you DO want to have. That would give a much more positive feel to the gameplay. Thank you for a great show, but this is not a game for me...

No one noticed that Amanda took a disaster, spent a long time trying to figure out what tile to put it under, but never flipped the tile over. Given the number of mistakes you guys made I have to conclude that this game is too error prone.
