@@ziomalZparafii Oh yeah, they can be pretty obtuse but sometimes that makes a pun better, at least for the people who "get it". In this case, the pun is on the name of the designer "John D. Clair" being substituted for the word "declare".

We played the game at SPIEL 23 with a couple from Indianapolis and had a fantastic time. And I don't really like destructive games. My copy arrived yesterday and I can't wait to play. Best wishes from Germany to Indianapolis and elsewhere in the world.

For me , path of civilization is the game i want empire’s end to be. I feel that maybe event cards could have made the game more interesting .

Literally the best parts of my favorite games (galaxy truckers and robo rally) is watching my own stuff/plan get absolutely destroyed. I think my group will like this.

Played this at 2 and it was... ok. Then I played it at 4 and it became sooooo good. The double disaster phases make a huge difference in how interesting that phase is.

@beanis8624 it's not closed economy like No Thanks is, but the disasters are like 2:1 as common as the other phases so you get a lot of "I get this one, you get the next one" when it's a two player game.

I didn't like this game, because some bonuses are definitely more powerful than the others, and there is no way to redeem yourself when you see that the cards for your engine are not coming out.

Curious if there's a particular thing about this game that makes you say so or if you just mean generally speaking? I think the difference between retail and kickstarter edition here is fairly modest, which is nice. -Chris

@@thedicetowerI think they might mean is the the waiting. Waiting longer for the retail edition. It hurts when seeing a review of a game but it’s the Kickstarter edition and the retail won’t cone out for maybe a year later. The wait for planet unknown was very painful for retail.
