Its great to see a child actor like Mazzello who is still working and didn't develop a drug problem.

I tear up watching a couple powerful scenes and I’m not afraid to admit it. The pacific war was too damn brutal. And it’s so sad seeing what these men had to go through 😔 moment of silence for the men who never made it home.

My dad got me onto this series. After I watched Rami in Bohemian Rhapsody, he told me he was in this series. I watched it in a couple days. Loved Rami, but I really took to Sledge. What he went through and everything that goes, it was incredible. I ended up getting Sledge’s book, and the book just goes into so much detail. It’s by far one of the hardest but very intriguing reads I’ve ever read. And Joe, I’ve loved him since Jurassic Park. I was so excited when I saw his name in the credits. He did a wonderful job playing Sledge. Great guy, love him!

His performance in the Pacific is a hit or miss. He desperately wanted to be part of the war effort, but he came to hate it because of all the violence; then he developed a hatred of Japanese people because the ugly, brutal aspects of the war ruined his enthusiasm. Like a spoiled rotten kid who ended up hating a vacation because it gave him more problem that he had anticipated. It was a very annoying character. I don't know if it was written that way or it was his interpretation of the character.

@@mitchellwhiteley1208 Joey Mazello's character in the Pacific was annoying
@mitchellwhiteley12085 жыл бұрын
Rick S why do you think he’s annoying remember we are talking about a real person here who’s seen shit me and you can’t even handle, but anyway if you find him annoying that’s fine you can have that opinion just curious why. because I never Heard that one before lol.
@RickS23695 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellwhiteley1208 Once again, I've said the character was annoying to me; it was the way the character was written or how the actor portrayed the character that bugged me. I'm not necessarily talking about the real person, and what I've said has nothing to do with whether I could handle what the real person went through. That's completely irrelevant. I wasn't questioning the real person's combat experience; I was talking about how the character was portrayed. I don't know what it was, I felt like Mazello did a disservice to the real person, at least in my eyes. If you like Mazello's interpretation of the character, then good for you. And no shit it's my opinion. Just disagree.

Rick S I don’t know if you’re aware but people question people’s opinions happn quite a bit so that’s what I’m doing just having a debate god dam.
