Actually Guyane, Réunion and any other oversea territory of France are not colonies anymore and are considered to be regional part of France with equal right as métropolitain (main european) France territory. In fact, they voted (several times in some cases) and always choose stay french. They use the EURO money, vote for elections and pay taxes like everyone else in France.
