Graf isn’t bad either from a base standpoint! At least you guys had decent food at your px 😂 But definitely prefer Hohenfels with the surrounding cities ❤️ we loved it so much! We’ll definitely try to go back if ever given the option

It was more stressful for us than it was for them! Coming back was a nightmare (logistics of trying to get to Frankfurt 3 hours away and with 2 kids that we didn’t have before) but going there was fairly smooth! Just make sure you have the correct kennels, they’re UTD on all vaccines and you schedule their health certificate appointments within 10 days of your flight date. Also highly recommend the “PCS with pets” group (or something like that) on fb to answer any detailed questions. Everyone is very knowledgeable in that group ☺️

Velburg! Yes, it’s off-post government leased housing! Everyone told us to hold out for Parsberg but we chose Velburg and LOVED all 4 years we were there ❤️❤️ we lived on Am Hohen Kreuz (first neighborhood coming into town) and it was perfect. Best German neighbors and mostly filled with Americans/kids. Always something going on on our street!
