After you get the shields down on the assembler, you can just fly an SV into the hanger with the partially constructed drone. The SV turrets will take out the little spawns, and if you didn't destroy the shield gen', you can use the SV weapons to knock down / keep down the shields while you work.

From what I've seen, the Drone MOTHER has it. But I guess I haven't encountered that one yet! Sounds like a pain :D

What ship are you using in this video? Also what would you bring as a loadout for RE if you are trying for your first AUX core?

I used the Behemoth, but it's a supporter exclusive ship for Patreons, youtube member and twitch subscribers. I used the Kleomedes for my first run at the drone ships. It can take a punch! But costs a lot of Xeno!

This was awesome. I been struggling trying to find a way to figure out which ships were within the damage range. Been losing ships cause all I seem to find is swarmers

Yeah, you need to collect your first 100 drone parts to make your first Core. Then you can add more firepower or shields for the next battles until you can make another core, and so on, and so forth! It's a struggle!

Its like: What do I have to do to be able to take down a Drone-ship of any kind to be able to build Aux. You have to have a decent armed and shielded ship with more than 2.1mio CPU. Which you only can craft when you get the drone parts. Yes you can try harvesters on hell planets but usually this takes so long that I mostly stop playing the game until I would have enough parts together to build even 1 Aux. Is there any other way to increase shields above tier 1 ? The default way is ridiculous.

Well, you can decrease your CPU with Crew, or by having quantum cores. Which can be found in ridiculously hard POI's most of the time! You can do it with a normal 2.1 million CPU ship, but you have to be careful of the nullifiers. I've once been attacked by 5 of them (One after the other). So you need to go after the smaller drones first. It's a lot of grinding!

Hey, I am playing reforged Eden and I have an issue with questing: text in dialogues scrolling too fast without stopping some times. There is an option to show all text/move to next page text with right mouse button but it does it automatically some times without letting me read. Currently doing main story line. And I know I can re read everything in pda. PS. did not have this bug in 1.8.4 normal game mode

Yup! Maybe one day they'll address it, and I think it's a Reforged Eden thing mostly. I don't remember if that happened in Vanilla!

Yes it is! Positron Beams and they should REALLY add it to Vanilla!

@@Rakoona Ok... riddle me this... is Reforge a modification that you have to download special files that change models and such? Or can this be achieved by modifying the config files?

The more I look into it the more I'm beginning to think this is possible by modding some config files. Willing to bet it's just a pulse laser with a mining drill effect instead of the beams. I must tinker!

Are plastic ships really nerfed? I remember drones being weak sauces. And never losing that much of my ship.

I really don't know! I always use fully armored ships! But I suppose with all plastic ships, matched with the right thrusters, you could probably have an insane maneuverability letting you evade most of the incoming fire! I'd have to give it a try!

@@Rakoona plastic ships is still a thing. I just watched a video of Artemis taking out an entire drone system, without losing shields, in 15 mins. I was worried there for a minute. Lol

I found it today as I'm looking for intact drone cores and this poi is the one that has a chance to drop it.

Yeah I'm looking to get the Lance beam laser and that requires it when I was searching for info it came up in steams Reforged Eden patch notes "Deadly POI added to combat site that has a chance to drop intact cores". So yeah I haven't got any yet but that's what the patch notes said I cannot wait until later today when I get to crack open the loot in there, it's tough tho. Also love your Reforged Eden series, learned a lot from it 😌
