Does not always mean it's a good idea to Accept the upgrade... Similar experiences. Yrs ago I had a glaxy S8 active.. And each of the last 2-3 UI updates... It got slower and slower...... I prefer a older UI that works smooth... 😂

Hey bro.. I'm curious to know.... Has zoom lens foto quality gotten better over time? I have the 1st build model Version of 10.1.0 of p40 pro+... The one that CAN install Google..... I'm wondering if I should keep this firmware as is. And never update it..??? I've never allowed update incase I need to reinstall Google... ... But i have noticed there's occasional QUALITY issues on photo and video during 5x/10x zooms.... And wondering if zoom issues got fixed in these 2 years since release. ... Thanks! 😁

There are some fixes for the camera through updates but nothing spectacular. If GMS is important for you just stay with the old firmware 👍

For me battery is same people are complaining about battery but probably the problem is with their optimizations. Emui 12 is polished and works smooth. New is better I think 👍

Yes it will work. But if you reset for some reason you will lose it and probably can't downgrade to 10

I had in the past mate 20x , p20 pro , p40 pro , mate 40 pro. I now have a poco f3 8g256g and i bought another p40 pro 8g256g for 270£ sealed. I updated to emui12 5.85gb update probably all summed up. My question is: are notifications still not being delivered when phone is sleeping ? (Screen off) from WhatsApp , Messenger , Facebook , Yahoo Email.... Basically i remember on mate 40 pro notifications would only come while in the actual app or while app is still in background until the system will automatically kill it or put it to sleep...

If you install google and it's stopped working after the play services update, then you need to install thid emui12, it will solve the problem! I'm very happy with it now. So buttery smooth too

It's based on Android 10, sadly. Best way for your phone to use Google is Gspace.

The only thing I thought would be interesting was the enlarged smart folders, but they're useless if you have more than 9 items in the folder because you can't open the folder anymore to access the hidden icons. A pointless update in my eyes just for the sake of going up one number.

Yes, probably a little. After factory reset (which is normal for such big update) it's ok.

After the update Google services will work as before. Keep in mind you can't downgrade after that.

As far as I see it p40 Pro gets the update for emui 12 and I'm using a mate 40pro in the UK and even trying to get into the beta program for this was a joke and it had already stop been available for my device yea were all looking forward to the new update but we need to know when this rollout be applicable for all other Huawei devices not just the p40 Pro

Most of people update without reset and start complaining about battery. This is big update and my advice is to do a factory reset after update and no issues with the battery. At least p40 pro.

1. This is surely not a stable emui 12 version, because it still has many bugs and lacking new features. 2. I don't understand why you write "Final release" and in the description "Huawei are ready with EMUI 12 final stable release for Huawei P40 Pro" if you don't even know that this version is stable nor it is. 3. I lost hope that Huawei will get better, because they're not giving us hOS nor normal Emui 12 version with all hOS features. There is no such thing as best phone, believe me. I have s21 ultra it also has bugs. But you are right, Huawei are start loosing the point, no future plans, EmUI 12 is just EmUI 11 with iOS look. This is not good at all because big players are getting monopol over smartphone market.
