BIG same, i honestly only slightly know how apex even works and all the Japanese i know has come from anime subs so... Not Good. I think it's his voice for me tbh, it's both calming and able to make me smile and laugh just from tone.

"All I do is stream Apex all day, go to bed, wake up and stream more Apex" AT LEAST HE'S AWARE.... but honestly he makes everything so entertaining that even someone like me who has very little interest in FPS games get excited when I know he'll be playing Apex. Just watching him do stuff is already so fun, he really doesn't even have to think about things to do because things just seem to happen when he's playing normally...

Also he said it himself among either 2nd gen or holostars in general (correct me) he is the most balanced in term of skill and talent, he is good at game, he is a spectacular showman, what more could we hope other than an all rounder performer. Astel's apex streams are mesmerizing and entertaining. I don't play apex, I don't even know a thing about fps but Astel was able to pull me down to apex hell. As for Roberu, I guess it is his talent that he's able to course through streams with just chatting. (He even interviewed his lower half) but in general holostars has its own distinct charms and talent that's why they don't clash with one another.

THIS IS SO FUNNY i was just thinking how Astel never does Free Chats and how completely unnecessary they are since he constantly talks while streaming APEX anyway... He’s a perfect streamer both for those who just like gameplay as well as those who like chatting streams. And me, who can’t focus on anything as pure as “just gameplay” or “just chatting”. I need it all. Anyways, point is everyone in Asthell has already been cursed by the alien’s APEX Virus, including Ollie. What more could we want? Other than more APEX. APEX 3150. 3150. 3150. (As a clip/tl experience, the editing and music choice along with the comedic timing was on point. Wonderful job.)

I agree, not to mention singing/music is an international language. I myself play Apex but I've heard even people who don't sometimes get engrossed in his gameplay because he's both good and entertaining while playing it. Just all in all a great content creator, like you say.

@@haveachocobar Yup. Like, I was drawn in by his karaoke but have become obsessed with his APEX. And the ultimate form, APEX karaoke. Plus, like you said, you don’t even have to like APEX to like his content. I’ve disliked FPS games for most of my life, and only started watching an APEX stream when he randomly had a KPOP lyric on the thumbnail. I thought it was more singing practice. Instead it was Astel, half-drunk rambling in half English and half Japanese for 14 hours as he ranked up to Diamond. Was entranced the whole time, and couldn’t say why. I’ve never left since.

You’ve summed up my experience perfectly. I’m not a fan of zatsudans for the fact that it’s very difficult to keep me entertained, nor am I interested in apex gameplay by itself (if so I would be watching pros like ShibuHal stream). But Astel’s stream blends both so well that I’m always mesmerised. He’s the one for me, this space seaweed gremlin.

3:32 i think all roberu fans also have the same question in their mind that how can he do so much of stream just talking only. I tried to imagine myself as a member before but then found that its hard to be like roberu that is able to talk a lot while keep it interesting without telling anything about his personal life( except of he didn't eat breakfast and what he do to ueshama)

I started watching Astel because he was playing a game I liked. I enjoyed his energy and reactions. And with time I've just come to really like him as a person. Now even though I have 0 interest in fps somehow I still enjoy APEX3150. I'll watch anything he decides to stream because in the end the main content is Astel himself. Except horses. I draw the line at horses. Roberu, stop it, get some help.

For me it's simple, astel gameplay is fun,he knows how to make each round interesting whether it is intentionally or not, plus me as a fps gamer (not apex) i like watching him apex with his skill, gameplay and the best of all is his voice which is in karaoke streams as he possess good vocal that i never thought he will be this good at singing.

I remember I would watch all of Astel’s streams which would take up pretty much all of my day, but then school and exams came around and I just didn’t have time to watch him for more than 4 or 5 hours. Now I just tune in occasionally or watch his karaoke streams. I like watching different gameplays so the same game all the time isn’t really my thing, but I love Astel based on his personality so I guess that’s the reason I’m able to watch him play mostly apex.

Well, basically for me I really enjoy his apex game play because some time, I just want to see Playtrough like this even he don't talk to much. He even making challenge for him self like some of this video telling us and basically become an endurance stream (still remember almost 18hrs apex stream, truly a monster indeed) Also we can't forget astel gold voice that even can make man heart melted, damm Astel. Ohh I almost forgot, thanks for the clip, your editing skill really great

Sometimes as his viewers i asked that to. Why do i watch his streams...? I mean i always make sure i watch every streams he's having for at least an hour everytime... I don't even understand many Japanese.... Well i guess I've just got charmed by him haha (Fr tho i honestly love his APEX it's so entertaining for me www i watch a lot of people stream APEX (including kanae) and everytime they do it there's always a little thought on my head that says "they're not like astel at all..." maybe bc the energy is different?? Tbh i don't even know why i thought that haha. In the end i only ever watch other people's APEX clips and not streams... PBB's apex streams smh managed to entertained me like no other could)

Hololive management should have creative division to bring content ideas to their talents. It's such a pain to see them having difficulties even to do collab with other talents in the same management

Personally I'm not entirely sure that's the problem. Even in Holostars the talents have been shown to be creative own their own (Roberu and his plethora of weird streams, Miyabi and his forest tournament thing) and most are self sufficient as is. When Hololive members reach out to them (mostly HoloID or Fubuki/Matsuri), they're able to collab without much trouble. I think it has more to do with how comfortable talents are with reaching out to other Holopro members. For example, Amelia has spoken in the past of being interested in collaborating more with both Hololive JP/Holostars but has also stated she wants to get better at Japanese first. There's also general familiarity. Astel said in a recent stream he doesn't watch too much Hololive because when he does watch streams its mostly Holostars. There's probably something similar going on with the Hololive end of things where talents just aren't familiar enough with the Holostars talents to feel comfortable collaborating with them. Talents like Ollie or Iofi who are familiar with all of the branches of Holopro (Hololive EN, Holostars, etc) regularly collab with them.

I ask my friends and family why they talk to me LMAO I’m relatively good at keeping a long conversation going but that’s because when I Start talking about a topic I always ramble on and on about something unrelated but that is also somehow still related to the topic in a way. Like I can go from talking cars or something and by the time I realize I’ve been rambling I’ve chained the topic to fish some way some how 😭
