I honestly think that the actress made the artistic choice to be more nasal-y for this role because 1- her natural voice is much deeper & 2- she was probably trying distance herself vocally from what we all know her from, the fake deep voice of Rosa from Brooklyn 99

Actually i dont think theres autotune cause Jessica sang Surface Pressure live a few times and her voice is really like that shes just that talented and they actually did exactly what you did live about that song you should check it out Jessica's incredibly talented they did the whole movie soundtrack live and Lin called put a choir of kids and made them sing as well it was so cute 🥹🥹🥹 and just like Jessica i dont think Stephanie also has that voice i mean she also talk like that too she was in In the Heghts too and her voice was also like that in that! I think you would love the live performance 🤍

Although I agree LMM has a mastery for certain type of songs, I think "Waiting on a miracle" is supposed to be about her being/feeling stuck, unlike "Let it go" where she's growing and evolving, Mirabel still has a long way to go before singing her "evolved" tune

you should react to ‘camilo’s interlude’ but do the version with dolores’s voice actor! it also features camilo’s spanish voice actor! since he is a shapeshifter, it’s kind of about him looking in the mirror and not knowing who he is anymore because he is constantly having to be someone he isn’t and dolores reminds him who he is. it’s a really cute song!

As someone with ADHD, Turn It Down is really a comfort to me bc it's exactly how my brain feels. Senseless noise, yet it has a rhythm so you try to listen, but it doesn't work and you feel more frustrated than before. I like listening to that song bc the noise being real instead of in my head feels more comfortable. I know it's busy, I know it doesn't always sound the best, but it is a perfect representation of hearing too much and not being able to stop it, while still being a song I feel seen and I feel heard with that song. If it was cleaner, I wouldn't like it as much Some people strive for perfection and lose the humanity along the way. Fan songs don't have to do that, they have the freedom to be real, and honest, and imperfect. Turn It Down would not have fit in the movie, but it fits right in on youtube. Its issues serve to highlight its point, and I'm not sure its point would've been as impactful without them. Encanto's songs are great, but that can't be what fan songs are, and that's just factual
