Thank you for the video and for the parts list links in the description. Very helpful and informative. I was thinking of doing something similar and your video gave me some better ideas. I'm curious if you considered connecting a charging circuit out to the trailer emergency brake battery? Would need a diode or isolator to keep from draining the emergency brake battery from the interior cabin lights. Or maybe use your larger battery to be the emergency brake battery? Would appreciate your thoughts if you have time. If not, no problem and keep up the good work on the videos. Thanks again.
@Myksgarage Жыл бұрын
I have thought about the emergency battery and I'm not sure how the wiring would go but it would make the most sense to run it off of the main big battery that I have installed. Anyways, thanks for the comment.

Good video. You could have run a grounding wire to your frame, then only run the positive wire from the switch to each light. You would then just ground each light to the metal frame they’re mounted on. This is the way we do it in large tv trailers. Simpler than running two wires everywhere. Otherwise well done.
@Myksgarage7 ай бұрын
Yeah i considered that method as well

Did the fuse block or the battery need to be grounded to the trailer anywhere?

@Myks Garage If you took the wire going to the original light switch and ran it to the battery would that be an appropriate way to charge the battery when hooked up to a truck?

It sounds logical that it would work that way.

Another question for you. Is it possible to add an 3000 watt inverter to it to bypass having to get a generator?
@Myksgarage Жыл бұрын
Yes that is possible, it will just hook up to the battery directly. You just might need a bigger battery bank so it will last longer and probably a way charge the battery quicker. good luck with your build!

What's the brand of light rods you used and does the light switch have 2 pos and neg wires to it, one to the circuit box and the other ran down to the lights etc

So if I am doing something similar, going to run a 16ft strip on each side of the trailer. So would I just tie the LED light strips into a 14 gauge wire which that will then run to the control center I am setting up?
