These are BBC documentary level shots. I also love how you chose to include dry plants, as well as green ones. It showcases perfectly that it doesn't live in a lush jungle, but in a semiarid grassland. I have to wonder though, is the enclosure reshaped since you made the video. My juvenile G. pulchripes loves to dig and reshapes his enclosure very month or so.

Mark she is gorgeous and you have definitely made up my mind as to which will be my first ever T. They are so striking with the colours and laid back attitude. I'm holding back getting mine until the southern invertebrate show in november and I'm going to take some inspiration from your vids for my setup although I already set up a lot of aquariums so am looking forward to doing a dry setup for a G. Pulchripes.

The enclosure looks amazing. And so does the beautiful Xena in her new clothes. Do stones and twigs and plants or anything else we might pick up from outdoors need any type of treatment before we put them in our T enclosures? I’m worried I’ll pick up stuff covered in pesticides or other things that are possibly harmful to my T’s.

With the rocks I cooked them I the oven with the plants I went to a field and pick the plants that people dont go down and gave them a soak but that's about it and I've never had any problems.

Hey Mark, thats stunning work right there. If you don`t mind me asking. I have a G. pulchripes right now and she makes me worried since shes always on the walls, never on the ground and i wonder how i can make her feel more at home. I keep her in a 40x40 with dry substrate, hide, fake ivy, a cork bark she can climb on and moss that i dampen for the humidity. She never uses her hide, always sits in a corner a bit scrunged up. I read a shit ton of posts to find out what the issue would be. No avail. Is she just doin spider things and shall i leave her or is it some other problem ?
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't worry mate mine is up on the glass at times too and rarely in the hide hence why they make great display Tarantulas lol I take it she does come down though from time to time how long has she been in the enclosure for ?
@scottwhitemyer55015 жыл бұрын
good job on enclosure!! how do you plan on keeping the rocks from shifting if she digs?
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
I doubt she will dig as these are opportunistic borrowers and the main rocks are near enough at the bottom so she cant if she was to dig any lower

Xena is absolutely stunning 😍 what dimensions are those glass enclosures you use Mark? My girl is in a large flat faunarium at the minute because the glass enclosure I'd wanted wasn't available so had to buy what was available in my local reptile shop as she was on her way. She utilises all the floor space (L46.5 x D30.5 x W17.5cm) but I'd really love one of these enclosures so that I could do something like this or at least give it a bash 🙈😂
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
The one shes in is a 30x30x30 she will need a bigger tank eventually as these Ts get quite large 🙂
@MiniMellyBee5 жыл бұрын
She's such a beautiful T. The striking yellow on her legs & the iridescent pinky/purple on her carapace. Wow I didn't realise until looking on google these guys got as big (20-22cm). She's going to get a big girl then. I haven't had the chance to properly measure Khaleesi as yet but judging by my hand at the side of the enclosure once I would say she's close to fully grown for a B. Hamorii 😊
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
@@MiniMellyBee I see a massive one at the bts was tempted but thought xena will be this size and didn't het it but wow it was big lol
@MiniMellyBee5 жыл бұрын
Exactly. It's worth sitting tight & watching Xena as she gets to that size 😊
@ls555 жыл бұрын
@@MiniMellyBee Hi Melissa, I'm working on your Khaleesi right now. 😊 I'm changing the abdomen because I think the original became too small compared to the legs. And I have made 6 of the legs now so there's only two more to make. I will have your letter posted tomorrow so it can be picked up from the post shop early Monday morning. It will be on a flight from Denmark Monday evening. Perhaps you can have it before Easter, that depends on how the Easter holidays are celebrated in your country. Here everything are closed from Thursday to Tuesday next week. I'll give you a word when the letter has been put into the international mail bag in the post shop tomorrow. Have a nice day. 😊

I thought you weren’t supposed to use stuff from outside your house unless you take necessary steps to remove any possible pesticides or other unwanted stuff from getting in your enclosure?
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
I treat the rocks by cooking them in the oven as for the plants I go where no people would normally go so they are untouched I've never had a problem and I use alot of wild stuff
@Timmy2tone42425 жыл бұрын
Mark's Tarantulas thats good. I didn’t see any mention of the precautions needed to be taken in the video so worried people might get the wrong idea and just grab whatever rocks and plants from outside
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
@@Timmy2tone4242 all they gotta do is ask just like yourself
@Timmy2tone42425 жыл бұрын
Mark's Tarantulas Yea but what if someone doesn’t ask and just does it? I don’t think you should have made this video without mentioning how to properly treat the stuff you are using. You could have easily talked about how to do it while you were setting up the enclosure or added a little note to the video. Its pretty irresponsible for someone with a bigger channel who will get lots of views on this video to do.
@MarksTarantulas5 жыл бұрын
@@Timmy2tone4242 it's not like you are gonna pick up a parasite with everything you collect in the wild it's very exaggerated like a lot of things in the hobby but I'll be sure to mention it in another video
