In memory of Rebecca Evans (Becca) ...
On November 29th 2016, Rebecca Evans tragically died in a car accident.
Rebecca was 8 months pregnant and expecting her daughter, Cari, on January 7th
Despite the heroic efforts of the Police, Paramedics and Wales Air Ambulance
…Becca and Cari died.
Rebecca's partner and 2 year old son survived.
For Becca’s funeral, her family asked Elin to sing
an emotional Welsh song … ‘Anfonaf Angel’
(I'm sending you an Angel)
The song writer is an ambassador for Wales Air Ambulance who, despite no government funding, were there to save Becca's 2 year old son.
... it was the last song that Becca downloaded at Encore.

Such a tradgedy my sister died 2020 of covid my brother december 2023 my niece his daughter died this year in february 2024. I am listening to this at 11.30 at night on 26/6/2024. Formerly of yn Caerdydd now living in Surrey for the last 17 yrs i still am welshman through and through this song brings me comfort i run a mental health choir up here which i have started up and will try and teach them myself i am a top tenor and was tutored under the late Marjorie Cox LRAM ,BA,Mus FRCM, BRCM.

I only came to know of Rebecca's story after hearing the Anfonal Angel song being sung in Melbourne, Australia by Welsh singer Ceri Haf Roberts. I discovered what a magnificent person she was with an undying love for children and young people that is so inspiring. What a loss she was but what a legacy she left behind.
