Change your mind, change your heart, change your focus, and set your mind on the word of the Lord Colossians 3. Don't mind what you see, feel with your senses, but dare to simply believe, and you will see everything fall into place. This will encourage you to continue, despite all obstacles, until it becomes second nature, just like you gave way to repetitive sins, and it got stuck on you over time. Give it time, hold on, come what may. The Lord who promised us Faithful and True to perform all His promises. He can not deny Himself. He already gave up His only Begotten Son for you, He is willing to release all things that pertain to life and godliness to you. Don't walk by sight but by faith. Train the new child in you by the Holy Spirit to drink the milk of the word regularly until it can start to digest solids. Nail your flesh daily to the cross, walk in, and be daily led by the Holy Spirit, in all spiritual obedience, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh! Galatians 5:16-18; Psalm 1; Proverbs chapters 1-4. True Believers in Christ cannot sin, but others may cause them to sin 1 Jonh 3; Proverbs 28:10, 13; Matthew 16:6. Therefore, stay away from stimuli and people that make you sin; trust in His love for you! Keep the faith! It's all a process you can't hurry. You've got until He returns. He is coming soon.

Like many people, I had the same problem. Repetitive sin. Only determination, prayer and frequently talking to Jesus about your sins can break that vicious cycle. And it's not easy, because the harder you try, the more Satan will tempt you. I failed dozens of times. But this time it seems to be different. I also read the Bible, stopped playing video games, stopped watching horror movies, etc.... I don't always listen to rock/metal music anymore in my car, instead, I talk to Jesus. And I love it! I don't hear His voice, but I know He's listening. And sometimes a thought pops up in my mind, and I think...hmmm... that wasn't me...

What you just said is exactly what I'm going through, and I mean exactly, the video games, horror movies, hard rock/metal, all of it, and I don't listen to music that is satanic in nature, I just like the fast pace and multiple instruments and how loud it is, Christian hard rock and Christian metal just speaks to some people as well, I don't like a single piano and one person singing slowly, or similar music, but the devil does use music to tempt us and corrupt us, now we can use it against him, we can now use it to glorify God, listen to and love Christian hard rock and even Christian metal, use that temptation and turn it into glorifying God, Jesus Christ, and the holy spirit, there is absolutely nothing wrong with what type of music you like, just what's being said in it, that's why Christians created music they like and dedicated it to God,

No Matter what temptation you struggle with or battle if you turn away from it and don't do it that's a battle won and start writing down your victories/losses and keep record of them and try to get more wins than losses. Each win gets you closer to defeating those temptations. TRY HARD GOD BLESS
