Great coverage, I still remember capturing MG trains in 2012-13; travelling over that uprooted bridge ! Great capture !! Thanks

I have traveled through this meter gauge section from Lucknow to Sitapur umpteen number of times and it feels emotional to see those same tracks uprooted but then this is what we call development, I guess.

I don't know why they want change N.G&M.Gto BG? Meter Guage trains were sutable for tourism...They could make parallel M..G & B.G like in Bangladesh.....I miss you M.G Trains...I never forget you.....you have a place in my heart.....I love you

As if I have been stabbed at my heart. There were years and numerous mornings and afternoons that I had spent there at Gomti bridge just to watch those MG trains running parallel to BG. I'd sit at the box of the BG railbridge and wait for the MG trains coming, dancing to their rhythm. Aha! That MG movement is just like a danseuse perfectly moving her body to the music. Now all gone. BG, LHB all will come and go just like a metal snake, holding no charm. And what charm is there if there is no variation and acting all alike? Each highspeed movement is just like a clone of another, zooming past and nothing other.

That's the cost of upgrade. For all the hype of high speed bullet trains, they look all the same with no colorful distinction or locos and coaches with distinct personalities. Enjoy the diesel engines while they are still here. I hope they don't make every Indian train into Vande Bharat clone.
