Absolutely please subscribe to this channel for you Napoleonic goodness. Having touched base with Napoleonic Wargamer over the last couple of weeks Im finally into Black Powder 28mm which Ive been nervous about but now finally taking it up. Im gearing up for that event in June Derby. Currently a British Peninsular war force but very keen to get a French force going as well but the British are my priority for the event. Im so motivated for this year Napoleonics.

Happy New Year all! In 2024 I'll be finishing up some 28mm French and British Napoleonics, then starting some Austrians and Russians. Also continuing on with my new 17th c. Long Turkish War project (28mm Habsburgs vs. Ottomans), 28mm HOTT Fantasy (Dwarves, Undead, 'Greeks' and 'Arabs') and 20mm WW2 Russian vs. Germans. If time and money permit (!) maybe some 6mm Russian Naps to go with my age old French and Austrians ... A quick thank-you too, for putting me onto the film 'The Duellists' which instantly became an all time favourite. I too struggle to see how the same Ridley Scott directed the noisy, incoherent, though visually striking mess that is 'Napoleon'. A useful corrective is the 2002 'Napoleon Bonaparte' miniseries directed by Yves Simoneau. Highly Recommended! Salut!

Oh, hell yeah, I'll be around. It'll be 6:00pm here & I've sworn off Merkin football, so I'll either be painting, terraining or setting up a solo ambush from Charles Grant's "Programmed Wargame Scenarios". I've recently started converting Austrians in leather helmets into French uniformed Irish for my Ireland 1798 project. Basically just turning their helmets into Tarletons from France's Ancien Regime army era, then simple paint jobs like brown habit tunics with blue facings. Also picked up a bunch of Perry English Civil War Pike that will take very little sculpting of hats, to convert into Irish Militia Pike & farm implements. Also have a Skytrex regiment of Vendee with farm tools that just need paint for same. To prevent burn out on shades of gray (unbleached wool) I've still got a brigade of Perry's French 1805-'12 to do & 2 boxes of Dragoons. Speaking of French Cavalry, the 3rd Provisional & 13th Cuirassier rgmts. went into Spain in 1807 and were still there in 1812 & maybe longer I just haven't read that far in "Charging against Wellington" which is an exhaustive look at French Cav. in the Peninsula by Robert Burnam from Frontline Books. Since the battle of Bailen was in 1808 it must not have been the 13th or 3rd Prov. that was captured there. So put them in support of a Dragoon Regt. and see how the Blues do against them & their sweeping advance bull smoothy. Big Hugs & Prospero Ano Nuevo !

Happy new year! This has been a great year for videos. For 2024 I'm planning a Tyrolian Rebellion inspired army with a friend doing the other side. Using Piano Wargames miniatures of course!

Plans are to make French Guards engineers, gendarmes and a marching band in 1/72 which is give me every French unit type (6 year project). Fatten up my Austro-Russian forces and develop a hex based wargame for the 1813 German campaign I started on long before Littlewars tv. Happy new year to all my fellow Napoleonic enthusiasts. We must collectively do more to overcome the Ridley Scott disappointment,

Since you asked I am planning a large (6x14) Napoleonic Cavalry game loosely based around the mass French Cavalry Charge at Leipzig in 1813.I have twelve French Squadrons (at eight strong) and six Allied ones (at eight and twelve strong depending on the nation) already done with another fourteen to do to even things up a bit, all by May. You have a great channel so please keep it up. Also am very interested in that event in Derby, sounds good.

Re the draw I sent in multiple emails as I was not sure about the format of the title so sent in copies with capitals, non capitals etc. Maybe you could clarify for others, cheers.

Haha, the old 'I wasn't sure how to enter so I entered 5 times' trick eh? I see you Hindley! 🤣🤣 I'm only kidding, the format of the titles doesn't matter, it will bring them all up
