Your videos have truly helped me out with my home schooling journey. Rod and staff is a much more thorough, than the good and the beautiful. We're going to be utilizing Saxon math. Your videos have truly been so inspirational. I wish that I could get my son to do a third of the writing that your daughter does. Thanks so much for the videos!

It truly makes my heart glad to hear that my videos have helped at least one family. Rod and Staff and Saxon are oldies but goodies. They are not that popular but they get the job done. Your son will get there, I started Bri off with writing just by giving her a composition notebook and simple writing prompts.

Brag on your baby! She did a wonderful job as did you. There is no evidence of a rough start other than the videos you produced telling us you were struggling. The struggle is worth it when you can come away with these results and the smiles on both of your faces.

This is one of best video I've seen to help me with my first year of homeschooling! I have a 4th and 2nd grader and wanted to do the human body study and this was perfect! I will be utilizing quite a few ideas I got from this video. I admire how much your daughter loves to write! I'm hoping to bring that out in mine. How many hours did your school day last? And did you do a 4 or 5 day week? I love everything you did and want to see if it'll work out with our home schedule. Also, did you have a guide/lesson that she followed with most of her writing- for example all the biographies she wrote on black history month, did she just use her skills from previous years or was there a lesson that you followed for her to complete those?

Hi, thank you so much for this video! I truly enjoyed watching all the projects you all did! My question is how do you plan each school day? Do you plan the night before the activities you’ll do or do you plan months in advance? Also how do you keep your younger kids occupied while you teach your oldest? Also how do you choose read alouds? Thanks so much ♥️
@brittanyolga2 жыл бұрын
Ok first things first homeschooling with toddlers and babies is no joke lol. I do all of my less teacher intensive subjects and independent work while the kiddos are up. So read-alouds,spelling and vocabulary, fix it grammar I do while they are awake. During nap time I usually do my teacher intensive subjects like history or science and R&S English. So hopefully this helps. It was an adjustment getting used to not having that free time in the afternoon while the kiddos are asleep but I am use to it now. As far as planning I try to plan by quarter. I look ahead in our history or science and see if I want to do a project or something hands on to bring it alive. Sometimes if I see something cool on Pinterest that week I just print it off and go with the flow. Hopefully this helps. 😊

@@brittanyolga yes that definitely helps thanks so much! Yes you are right, it’s definitely hard toggle little ones and the older ones! I think I need to have my youngest back on naps! Will definitely try out your way!

Yes we ended up simplifying our homeschool days and Wordly Wise never made it. I really hope we can add it in our next homeschool year.

Is Nicole the math lady a separate subscription for Saxon Math?
@brittanyolga2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is ! Nicole the math lady is an online video service that teaches each Saxon Math lesson to the kiddos. It is 59 dollars for the whole year! We love it 🥰
