Some things were wrapped. Some things weren’t. But for us, and our children, we would wrap most (except for the big main gifts). Like if there was a bicycle, tent, humpy house, etc. And that stuff was always with new wrapping paper, they hadn’t seen mom buy. But Santa would leave the leftover wrapping paper for those gifts, for mom and dad, to use next year. :)

Omg i am the total opposite Jade! Santas gifts have always been wrapped, i didnt know it was a think to have them like assembled and everything!!! I actually had to listen to you FULLY explain it to understand what you were saying, i kept thinking you meant all the gifts already out (as wrapped gifts) when people come downstairs and was confused what the difference was 😂and was like "wait! Her playgym was assembled when she came down stairs? Ooo thats what she means!" I feel dumb 😅 I didnt know families did that!! I thought that was just some magical thing in movies and books 🥺 thats soooo cool! I feel that highlights the difference between santa dropping gifts off and parents gifting wrapped ones, and feels more magical! I loved my christmases growing up but that is definitely the way to do it if the parent's are willing and able to 😂❤ thats my vote! And we left both carrots and cookies! I cant remember how it started, but my brother and i were very concernced about the reindeer staying full for the long night 😂❤

our presents from Santa were never wrapped, just arranged under the tree. My husband and i went "home" to Cincinnati for thanksgiving and got covid AND the flu on the plane on the way home. we didn't know we had both until he got so sick he had to be hospitalized last Friday. I didn't even know you could get two viruses at once! He is home from the hospital now. neither of us is 100% yet, but at least we are home. Hope you all feel better soon.

Get him to pick out special wrapping paper and on Christmas eve leave it out for Santa with the milk, cookies and carrots. Then wrap the Santa gifts in the special paper and he will know right away which gifts came from Santa. Great tradition.

My parents always wrapped our Santa gifts. We came downstairs and this looked like a Hallmark movie. I have never known of presents to not be wrapped on Christmas?! I feel like for me growing up it was the excitement of seeing wrapped surprises and shapes and picking which ones to open in what order! Then getting surprised over and over by each individual present!

Our presents from Santa were not wrapped. They were all set out around the tree. My brother had his side of the tree and i had mine. Plus, we were NOT allowed to go peeking at the tree! I always woke up first, went to my brother's room, and them we both went to my parents door to knock and see if they were awake. Then, we had to wait for Dad to go survey the situation before we could go in. ❤❤❤

We do one big present from Santa, by the cookie plate, unwrapped :-) my son picks what kind of cookies we make every Christmas eve, and we also leave 9 carrots 🥕 and "reindeer food" on the glass (oats mixed with sprinkles). With my daughter, Santa always brought one special gift and it was left unwrapped next to Santa's empty cookie plate. We also made reindeer food (oatmeal mixed with green and red sugar crystals) and spread it out on the big lawn (we lived in a mid rise apartment building) and she would go outside on Christmas morning and it was always gone (a nice treat for all the racoons, fox, skunks and deer).

Hey Ghoul (and Spooky Fam!) My family of origin did wrapped presents from family, and Santa. We did cookies for Santa, and grass for the reindeer. My parents are from Puerto Rico and as a child, we celebrated the Epiphany as well, so we would put out grass and water for the Three Kings’ camels. The Three Kings would put small gifts in our shoes (that were under the bed.) With my own child, we did cookies for Santa and grass for the reindeer. Presents were wrapped and were from family and Santa, and Rudolph and the reindeer brought the stuff in the stockings. I work at a small gift store and one of the items we got this year was a bowl with a recipe for “reindeer food” (oatmeal mixed with red and green sprinkles.). I wish we’d had a dedicated bowl for Rudolph and friends when my child was growing up, we used a cereal bowl.

When I was a child (I had different xmas's growing up) I spent 4 or 5 xmas's at my grandparents & the presents were out under the tree on Christmas morning, I moved to Germany when I was 10 & in Germany...I don't know if anyone ever told you but they don't open the presents till midnight on the 25th of December. So you get up, have breakfast. Play outside if it's snowing, if not help tidy up the table & help out the family with dinner. Play games, sing carols or watch movies, have dinner & then once midnight open presents then go to bed. I moved back to the UK when I was 12 & lived with my mother, my xmas's with her were boring. We opened presents in the morning, pick 1 item to have for the whole day & then watch TV all day. Pause only when it time for dinner & then we go back to watching TV again.

Santa presents were unwrapped except for in the stocking, those were in red or green tissue. We got wrapped present from Mom & Dad. We left out cookies & milk for Santa and cheese for Santa Mouse (it’s a book) and then when my sister came along 13 years later, we added carrots 🥕 for the reindeer. I still remember the year I got a typewriter (oh yes I’m that old) and there was a typed note from Santa mouse 🐁 😁good memories!! The wrapping thing is hard for me as I haven’t the best health. This year I got these fabric bags for a steal of a deal on Amazon and I am in love with them. Made wrapping a breeze with only a little white tissue paper and tags 🧡🖤🧡get well soon spooky family

My dad's presents weren't wrapped when he was a kid, and it was disappointing for him. I figured it was a sign of his time, and not in practice today. We give each other presents on Christmas Eve, and Santa presents are Christmas morning, all wrapped. Part of the fun is watching everyone as they open each item and they're reaction. Christmas always feels done once the presents are opened, so it's nice to make it last as long as possible.

The part where you said you’re terrified about Lucian getting a hair tourniquet, I just learned that if you take him to the hospital to get it off they just use nair, so you could get some and that could give you some peace of mind for what to do!

We got "Santa" gift wrap paper for the Santa gifts. They have ones with just Santa faces or Santa with a bag etc. Then after we wrapped the gifts we threw the unused paper in the trash so it wasn't seen in the house. Or I would put it in the trunk of the car and donated it to my job for the gifts for kids that the office wrapped for charity. We always put our gifts under the tree as we bought them. Then Christmas morning the only new ones were from Santa and the filled socks. I know you have a lot of ideas coming at you but I made a photo album of just Christmas morning each year and I also made notes in the album for things that happened and a gift list. My son still looks at it and he is 35 and asks me what happened to that toy mom? lol. It is fun to bring out onto a table each year. My son put out a flashlight and turned it on when he went to bed one year so Santa could see his way around in front of the tree. When I see that picture of the flashlight on the carpet it just makes me smile. Just enjoy each Christmas cause life goes so fast.❤

We had presents wrapped from Santa but the paper was different from all the others, had carrots for the reindeer, also our stocking never had presents but instead had snacks/candy AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!! A present from Santa Mouse that had a yellow ribbon on it. Its my favorite Christmas book and we read it every year. Santa Mouse, Where Are You? by Michael Brown I read it to my son when he was young & he loves it also. Get it. You will not regret it.

Lucien looked like he had a great Christmas! I can relate with the sickness. New Years night I came down with Bell's Palsy. It's a facial paralysis thing. I couldn't figure out why my soup was dribbling out of my mouth! So now I get to look like a stroke victim for at least a month. Good times. I hope you're all feeling better soon!

Praying that Lucien’s heart issue is cured. I got sick as well right after Christmas so I feel your pain. My miniature schnauzer Josie and mom took great care of me. Growing up Santa would bring the presents to my parents unwrapped and it was up to them to wrap. So some years they were wrapped and some years they were not wrapped. We left cookies out for Santa but I think we left it out with coffee some years instead of milk (maybe those were the years the presents got wrapped). I loved the gifts for all of your nieces. I remember when I was 12 I received from my eldest brother’s (9 years older) girlfriend a pink Caboodle that had lip gloss, hair ties, lotions, and perfumes. I remember opening it and being so excited. I hope your niece enjoyed her gift. We also got the Haunted Mansion set this year. We feel the same way about the Hallmark tree toppers and use them on shelves instead of top of our trees. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year.

Kids close together in age is a bit difficult at times, but overall, it works out to be easier and was awesome...especially in the long run as rhey get older. Ive had 2, 18mo apart and the rest 3 to 5 years apart. The best age span was the 18months. (If my personal experience helps at all)

Looks like you all. Had a wonderful first Christmas with your baby. He must’ve been a real good boy. Santa was pretty good to him. As I watched these videos, I see the illness was everywhere this year. It was respiratory infections with my family. Started with my sister and she shared it with me and I shared it with my niece and so on. Luckily, it was the week before Christmas. I hope you’re all doing much better by now. This needs to be a good new year! Our last two years I’ve been horrible. We’re hoping when my daughter has her scan here on 22 January that she will be cancer free. Take care!

I had a Santa sack at the end of the bed which “Santa” would put unwrapped gifts in from Santa and then presents from Mum and Dad that would be wrapped under the tree from like early to mid December….

My parents never really said what was from who. But we had wrapped gifts only big stuff was unwrapped. We only did cookies I got the whole haunted mansion setup too ,but I couldn't put the mansion in the tree to nervous it fall, such a neat ornament collection though my kids luvvvv it

thats crazy , I feel like everyone was sick this holiday season! Both my brother and I had a cold, and my friends entire household got the flu, and I've seen several other youtubers mention being sick... Hope youre feeling better now! If yall got over that sickness in less than a month, you're doing good. We live in IA, went to MS for Christmas, and almost everybody has had it and cant get over it. There will probably be lots of holidays with someone sick now that you have a child unfortunately. It sucks. Where did you get that red light ball hanging in your house? Happy New Year! My mom would wrap presents from Santa and put them in the rest of the presents from family and friends. We did cookies and oats for all the reindeer because then needed the extra energy for the long night.

Everyone got sick in my family too we all got covid right before Christmas it was fun not really so everyone was particularly trying to talk on Christmas trying to catch their breath as they were passing out gifts I’m barely feeling better still have the darn cough that won’t go away everyone is doing better in my family though we’re slowly getting better wishing u guys get well soon too love all the Christmas videos but I will always Love Halloween lol 😂 😂😂😂😂😂

Oh Ghoul, I’m watching this as I’m trying to recover from Covid. I dodged it this whole time until now. It’s hard enough when it’s just you who’s sick, but it’s so much worse when it’s the whole family. I hope you’re all on the mend now.
