Honestly, they did this scene justice. While endeavor and rei are to blame for neglecting toya, ultimately, toya chose to become dabi and kill innocent people. Now, they'll all have scars both figuratively and literally to remind them all of the tragedy that is toya (dabi).

I think that a lot of teenagers exaggerate their problems because they are too young and immature to have an open mind. I'm 26, so I'm still young enough to know how it feels to be a teen and how people my age were like. "I'm poor because I can't buy a Nintendo game on the day of release" "I'm abused because my parents raise their voice at me from time to time" Teens really experience 5% of what Dabi did and say "Wow he is just like me". You are right in the sense that my generation (people in their 20s) are less likely to forgive our parents than our parents did to their own parents. My dad is in his 50s and had a rocky relationship with various family members and only a few years ago did he detach himself from the toxic individuals in his life. My parents always tried to gain their parents approval and have good times with their family members. My generation is quick to break family bonds when Its viewed as inconvenient to have certain people around. There is much less mercy, forgiveness or sanctity. Its honestly sad to me, all things considered.

Not really, he can live with the knowledge and do his best everyday to be a better man. That outcome is 100% better. What you're describing isn't redemption, it's just vindictiveness. Just like Dabi shouldn't necessarily die for his crimes, the best outcome would be him living and accepting that what he did was wrong and trying to be a better person.

Endevour being forced to live with the consequences of his obsession and lust for power, hurting all his children and leading to one becoming a crazed villain is fitting for him. He'll never be able to fully make up for what he's done but he should find a way to live with it instead of dying at the hands of what he had created. In death, the chance to be redeemed, however small, dies with him and that has never be the message of MHA for me. There are some beyond redemption but those who can should be given the chance. Dabi wouldn't accept it anyway and Enji knows it. His apology would mean nothing to his eldest because it wouldn't bring him any peace. Just letting his son's words of resentment and anger ring true in his ears is the only way he can apologize. He owes him that much since he never listened to him before and look what happened. He owes him his silence and attention, not his words and apologies.

We don't know what the ranking was in the period immediately after the war... but in the manga years later, LeMillion is the first hero, Todoroki is the second, Tokoyami is the third, and Bakugou, due to his mistreatment of fans, his ranking drops every year... and this was a big joke. I thought first place would be Bakugou or Deku in the future... Annoying Bakugou didn't benefit from the lessons he learned throughout the series.
