You tend to your crop every day, and then finally, the day of harvesting arrives. And then some little shit who got Star Citizen for Christmas blows your greenhouse apart because they're bored. I want to make a hospital ship with some cutlass reds as ambulances and the med bays. Imagine supporting an armada in the middle of combat, ferrying wounded soldiers back and forth. So fucking cool.

My Ideal endeavor would be equiped with every comodity needed for biological studies, that is a Biodomes module, a GRP module, and a GSP module. With that you can land on a planet with the Explorer shuttle to collect samples, grow the plants in the biodomes and then fully analyse them with the GRP's and GSP's. Then, since you're basically equiped with a state-of-the-art lab, you can make medicine or fuel with the grown plants (or "space drugs", yes).

With extensive refitting I would hope. Wouldn't be much good if the Orbiter still needed big ass drop tanks to get to orbit, but then most of the ships in the game don't seem to care about fuel at all. fighters seem to be all engine and crew space, no room for fuel.

They were saying that it's kinda what they're going for, while they're not planning to release old models at the moment (as far as I'm aware), they have said that they're planning to iterate on the current models on the future, so you'd get, for example 2944 Aurora, then 2946 Aurora, etc. If they'd do that at the start, the game would never be released :)

This is a great multipurpose ship but only if u have friends to help crew it when u are using it. Because it has currently a crew stat of 16. These are crew positions critical for the smooth operation of the ship. Put this in perspective an Idris has a crew stat of 10. You can use NPCs for some of the positions or stations but how effective NPC crew members will be....well who knows at this point. Additionally u will need escorts of some kind if u want to venture out into the black with this ship.

In 2021, without the game having been released yet but having a better understanding of how the game tech works and how much work it is to implement features, this ship still seems like pie in the sky. Particularly with some of those concepted modules it looks like something that might come out as part of a future expansion... future as in the future of the future where the PU is mostly "feature complete" and has been released for awhile and CIG just needs some insane challenge to move on to next to expand the universe and features beyond what anyone thought was possible a decade prior. A particle collider that improves components? Really? And that telescope array... how in the WORLD would that work with OCS? Is it going to peer into Quantum and looks at probabilities and give you a report? Is OCS going to have to stream in sectors of space at far distances from any active player? Raises some interesting questions about long range scanning and probe implementation in-general.

I would like to know what kind of game play experience the developers envision for the science and medical modules. What do you actually do with them in the fully developed game? For example, would owning a science module enable you to hire npc scientists to develop sellable/buildable tech? Would the location of the pod affect the rate of development for different technologies and products? For example having the pod on a jungle planet would give a boost to drug development..

I don't play Star Citizen, and I haven't had much interest in it seeing as you acquire ships through micro-transactions. I thought that was the only way to do it until now, I didn't know there was even a plan to make ships obtainable in game. It's an interesting model though. You CAN fork over $500 for a giant spaceship, or you can work for the in game cash and go about it that way. Before I thought it was just a cash-grab with the excuse of IMERSHUN that would turn the whole game into pay-to-win garbage... But it's actually an interesting approach to in-game purchases.

This ship is a long-term goal to work towards. The real-money prices are just insane. I know that the money is used to support the development of the game, though I think if overall prices are lower, more people would think about buying ships. I mean, 1000 $, honestly, plenty of people out there do not even earn that much in a month! This is just some virtual stuff, pixels on a monitor. I also do not understand why ships are available for a limited time only. Wouldn't it make more sense to allow people to buy those ships once they are concepted? There are plenty of new "players" which joined the game and would love to support the game and buy one or multiple ships though they can't as their desired once aren't on sale atm. Either they buy these ships on the grey-market (and risk losing a ton of money) or they won't spend money and wait till the game goes live (if and whenever that will be) and do not add to the support of the game that way.

This is a ship that sounds really cool on paper, but doesn't take into account the amount of people who play multiplayer games with the pure goal of causing as much trouble as possible. The first thing people will do once these are feature complete is spawn onto one, retrieve their fighter, and then try to immediately blow it up.

If you can't put 20 of the center together with one back jump drive and front one with a jump drive it will nothing at all and garbage with out a jump drive for a front and back.
