Incredible work brother, very well done and thank you for turning it into a video series so that we can avoid making those mistakes further on! If I ever decide to build one, I'll stop by and drop you a deserving kofi, as do I suggest others do because this dude probably saved a lot of people from headaches. How much did the remaining material run you, and how many % of the parts did you have to source elsewhere once the ender 3 was done. Im considering getting one, but don't know if it'd be cheaper to just buy the parts directly (which I'd rather avoid because you need a lot of shit)

Thank you for the kind words. The frame, the bed, motors and the motherboard have been used for the build. Rest was self sourced by me which cost me around $200. If you don't have a printer already and you want this to be your first printer, then go for the official voron switchwire. It will be more easier and cheaper to build.

Followed all your build videos of this and loved them, Very informative!! I shall be doing the same with an Ender 3 V2 but only one thing i would have changed is in the printer enclosure, I would have use heat proof silicone seal instead of the seal strips, Cheaper and neater finish, But thank you for posting these 5 videos loved them all!!!..... Hey Chris. Thanks for watching the series. Actually it never crossed my mind about using heatproof silicone sealing. Thanks for the suggestion, will keep that in mind next time for sure. Cheers.

Nice series my man, what about a video on the slicer setting you can use to get max speed with still good quality. Really trying to push the new better printer kinematics. Keep up the good work.

Great suggestion! Will plan to do it near future.

I ha issues with the center grill in front. It was 4mm off the back one? Also motormounts could be better made for better adjustment of the belts. And last it would be nice to get direct links to the stealthburner used also maybe gallileo mod. I will be running my orbiter with this printer and an nf crazy hotend. More or less 2/3 of the way but I am simply not happy with the motormounts (maybe they are the original switchwire for 3030 extrusions?)

Hey, very impressive build, I want to start my Conversion of the ender 3 in the next weeks, do you have a list of all your parts you have not printed? And an estimated overall price as a quick insight? Thanks for the good content, keep up the good work 🚀

Sorry for the late reply. The conversion cost me around $200. There are now better revisions of Ender 3/Pro to Switchwire conversion. You can check them out.

do you have tips on sourcing all the different types of socket head, flat head, button head and self tapping screws and their washers? i've got 30 different products across 4 stores totaling almost up to 150eu lol
@HyperMakes Жыл бұрын
Nothing much really. Try to buy all fasteners from one store, if not possible try to reduce it down to two stores. If also possible try buying them from local stores rather than buying online. Also, please add atleast 5 extra units of each fastener so that you always have spare if anyhing goes wrong.

Hey awesome videos! Curious the appropriate cost of the upgrade, not including the custom inclosure and lights (which does look might fine!)
@HyperMakes Жыл бұрын
around $200.
@Nydid2 жыл бұрын
Does the Custom BOM reflect the bolts that were too short during the build?
@HyperMakes2 жыл бұрын
No. Because i had spares left, as i had purchased my bolts in multiple of 10.
@Nydid2 жыл бұрын
@@HyperMakes Ah! If you don't mind, on what website did you buy the bolts? I can only find packs of 100s.
@HyperMakes2 жыл бұрын
@@Nydid Depends on where you are from. I bought from an Indian site. If you want help from people from your country, don't hesitate to ask about sourcing in your respective country/voron_switchwire channel in the ofiicial Voron Design discord server: discord.gg/voron

Can you give me the drawing and size of the case?
@HyperMakes2 жыл бұрын
Sorry i can't. I don't have any. I simply used the CAD file and dxf files from the original github repo for my enclosure.
