That ending gave me goosebumps all over. The title Silent Hills may be referencing an infinite set of SH dimensions. With the popularity of Bioshock Infinite and Tel Doro/Kojima at the helm, I wouldn't be surprised if this game would incorporate some kind of multiverse angle.

Konami made a long term decision. The executives probably looked at the consumer data trends and saw that console games are a diminishing share of the market and decided to downsize their game development division accordingly. I suspect what happened is that Konami ordered Kojima to rush the game understaffed and then release it half-baked. Kojima refused and was fired, while Norman Reedus's contract was left to expire without an extension, thus killing the project.

To address some of the questions about the phone call, at this point we had done the infinite hall way, got all the pieces of the picture and had a couple more bits of writing appear on the screen also, the hanging fridge and gouging the picture frame were both done very early for us. We were walking around for a long time before basically giving up, we were stood at the clock for a while before the phone going off. So honestly I can't really say how to trigger the phone call as we never had a yellow screen like some are saying and everything seems to happen in a non linear order.

Yellow screen? Which are you referring to? There's the end part where it simply changes a bunch of colors, like red, green, blue, or yellow (though stops after a while, and I don't know why), or there's the part before this area where it's all yellow with random text. I saw another video in which is was red instead.

My favorite theory is that the reason "Silent Hills" is plural is that it was planned to include online gameplay elements and cooperation between players, similar to what we got in Death Stranding. The more you think about it, this really does feel like an early prototype of the game Kojima intended to make all along. I would have loved to see what Silent Hills became, but I'm also glad we got to experience something totally original instead.

I'm going to be real here....I didn't like Death Stranding. I know, blasphemy. But I really didn't. Graphics and atmosphere was incredible by the way, even though I had almost 0 fun with it. I am more of a horror fan in general and this whole situation is the biggest gut punch I've ever experienced. Still butthurt 5 years later. Will never let this down. Biggest letdown in video game history period. I come by these PT videos often to grieve the loss. Don't get me wrong, I loved Resident Evil 7 and Visage, but it still doesn't take away the thought of what could have been.

I'm looking forward to 2 Remake, as with Townfall & F, but I gotta say that it just still doesn't compare. 2 ( I played the 'remaster', so technically I've never played SH2 as intended) was goddamn phenomenal, even on XBox One. So imagine Silent Hills. I'm still happy to maybe get 2 Remake if I can afford it, but Silent Hills spoke to me, man. Shame it was killed. I swear if Konami reannounced it that would have been the only thing bigger than 2 Remake. I just hope it comes soon. The world still needs Silent Hills. And man, I'd pay top dollar. A man can dream. They're probably just playing safe with 2 Remake to test the waters and see if Silent Hill can survive in the modern world. Side note, I got a top 5 here for horror games. 1. Silent Hill 2 (2001) 2. Silent Hills (PT, of course.) 3. Dead Space (2008) 4. Alan Wake (2010) 5. The Suffering (1 & 2, considering 2 was basically just a more expansive first game) Honorable Mentions: Darkwatch, Undead Nightmare, Layers of Fear. Resident Evil doesn't make the cut, not because it's bad, but I can't think of a single one to decide upon. Otherwise Alan Wake wouldn't be on there, because it falls under a 'Psychological Action Thriller'. The second Alan Wake will, though. Hopefully. Evil Within also doesn't make the list, because a top 6 simply doesnt sound right. Or simply RE's reason. Thanks for reading, reader.

After the clock hits midnight walk 10 steps and you will hear the first baby giggle, then you have to find the ghost and go towards it so that it's in you. Then plug in your headset and say anything till you hear the 2nd giggle then the controller will vibrate and don't press anything or move, then when it stops you will hear the 3rd and last giggle then the phone will ring. Go to it and press and hold R3, then when it's finished a unlock noise appears and finally go to the door down the stairs and your done. Hope this helps and it really is confusing but bizarre.

I REALLY fucking hope this doesn't make it into the final product, this was the most uninspired, lazy, and uninteresting slender ripoff I have ever seen. I expect WAAAAY more from Hideo Kojima...also a big feather in his cap for just slapping Norman Reedus into the game instead of an original character. The amount of uninspired pandering in this game is borderline insulting.

It says at the end that this was just a playable teaser and it had no direct relation to the final game Meaning that this was just a warm up for the real game :D

I know, but even for a short playable teaser, a slender clone is just stupid. If Kojima wants to do something different to promote his game, that's great! But don't do it by ripping off another game in the laziest way possible. A friend of mine said I'm jumping on the hate train too early, and he may be right, but Kojima has not given me much reason to have faith in him so far.

it hardly ever chases you and the photo part is a puzzle where in slender the only problem while collecting the notes is he get's harder to avoid while the ghost in this game isn't hard at all

Konami was such a drag. Everyday they would produce the same kind of stories, use the same type of porgrammers, give us the same kind of games. Yeah, they were just that type of company Then one day, they go and fire Kojima! They couldnt have a real good reason for it either.

"What silent hill ought to be" has fucked up the series terribly, it's ended up with the most poisonous and impossible fanbase. The town of Silent Hill has been fully exhausted - how many times do you really want to go back to those hospitals? Personally I don't like FPS games, but considering they appear to have cast a recognisable actor and the game shows he has a full model, I guess they're not going to change that up too much. But it's reached the point where I almost want them to fail because the anger of Silent Hill fans is just so hateful and delicious

My ending was not this at all. There was a bloody fridge and eyeballs where all the pictures were and the game started glitching, a deep voice started calling out numbers so i went to the phone and the screen flashed up a yellow back ground with "I'll call later" in every language.
