Even though Konami kinda doesn't care about games anymore (game industry isn't their main income, and there are lot more industry in their company that produce more income than games i.e slot machine), but I bet it is impossible for them to sell those IPs. They are too valuable and Konami wouldn't risk to let competitors like Sony or other game companies to produce better Silent Hill game and gain more income than them. Edit : IMO Konami probably won't go out of business, but Konami Games does. Remember there are slot machine that use MGS or Silent Hill as theme of slot machine, so yeah. It's still just absolutely heartbreaking knowing that this game could've been probably one of the best horror game we would've had in a LONG time. The most i can compare it to is the Resident Evil 7 of Silent Hill, if that makes any sense. The fact that the town itself is rendered is something i didn't know, but it made the entire scenario of the game being shut down before it could even get a start even more depressing. I remember when people were hyped about the demo when it first came out, too.
@Benzona4 жыл бұрын
That's actually a really good comparison although I know you didn't mean it this way: Resident Evil 7 has NOTHING in common with the other resident evil games (minus a cameo) and most of the resident evil fans I know hate it (and vice versa) I feel like whatever Kojima was cooking up would have had a place somewhere, but it wasn't Silent Hill.

7:30 that "unused row of eyeballs" is a common tactic in game development where objects are placed outside of the map and then "called" into whatever object they are needed in. It's often used for cutscenes or objects that only show up for a short while, in this case it was probably to simplify the processing power by having a few distinct eyeballs with their frame synced together, than to have dozens of individual frames running separately.

An interesting thing happened to me very late at night on the day before New Year Eve. For a few weeks/months my PS4 had problems and was constantly need to be reset, at first I planned to hook up one of my old back-up hard-drives to my PS4 so if the issue happened again everything would be installed on the Back-up so I didn't have to reinstall anything. So I grabbed one of my old hard-drive that was just sitting around gathering dust and before putting it in my PS4 I plugged it in my PC to see what was on it. However, the hard-drive wasn't being read and at first, I thought it was broken, but instead of throwing it away I decided to plug it into my PS4 to see if the PS4 can read. Turns out it did and I was shocked to see that the reason why my PC couldn't read the Hard-Drive was that the Hard-Drive was already formatted to the PS4 and stored on it was a fully playable copy of P.T. I thought I lost P.T. forever when my PS4 had an issue once that lead me to do a reset it (Removing P.T.), but I must have completely forgotten about that I back-up P.T. when the announcement came that Konami will completely prevent users from redownloading P.T. So after so many years assuming I would never be able to play P.T. again I spent the last few minutes of Dec 30th to the first few minutes Dec 31st (New Year's Eve) playing and completing P.T. and seeing that ending trailer.

I’ve been totally obsessed with P.T. since it first came out and this is the content I’ve been craving. That shot of her in the balcony fucked me up!! Thank you for this.

THAT BOO'S HAUNTED BASH MUSIC FROM MARIO PARTY 4 PUT A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE! I love Lance's videos and the atmosphere he creates in them is unmatched... And I really thought, for the sake of this video, that you would be trying to give the same vibe. To hear one of my favorite Mario Party tracks ever, was a nice surprise and will guarantee I won't be nearly as tense and scared watching this as I was for his videos. Great work as always from both of you guys!!!

I'm binge watching these for the first time and I gotta say I adore your choice of background music, from Skullgirls to Mario Party 4 to Link's Awakening, absolutely sublime picks through and through

Something very satisfying about demystifying a horror game by just stepping back and looking at it from a safe distance and better clear visuals.

Oh this one hits me in the feels. Boundary break has become one of my favorite series I happen to love finding glitches in games myself. Silent hill might be my favorite game series as well. Thank you shesez always coming through with the best content on KZbin.

Legit just learned some of the most interesting stuff about how games work and it was told in an entertaining and informative way. You should honestly teach a class on this stuff.
