TASH, plz ignore Mosh when he says not to lure the dogs into the couch. Most of us watch this pod exclusively for the dog eye candy. IT BRINGS US JOY TOO!!!!

Natasha, i personally have suffered in this life and have often wished my parents never had me. They were not great parents and i have to live with their mistakes. My point is, having a child should not be done for self serving reasons.

Ahhh finally Esther touched a little on what Jasmine's real obstacle is: the common side effect of being betrayed in the way that makes (especially a woman) focus on all of the things that if she weren't insecure about before, she most certainly is insecure about now that relate to her body or looks & the inevitable compare/contrast to the other woman mental torture anyone would probably put themselves through in the aftermath of infidelity. I'm just sensing Jasmine wasn't incredibly confident or suffering from depression prior to being cheated on & this event was the straw that put her self worth in such a low place that she doesn't have the tools right now to defend herself & her right to be fucking pissed. Sometimes the solution to problems that our mental state isn't prepared enough to fix is to convince ourself we deserved it somehow & you'll never find someone who loves you again. When we can't actively stick to our principles, we redefine them as an act of self sabotage dressed up in a self preservation suit. I think the random assumption that you're turned on by your biggest trauma is an act of self preservation too. "If it can get me off, it can't be that painful, right?" I'm not a Cheryl Crowe fan but her song "If It Makes You Happy" is appropriate to her circumstances. Good luck!

Surprised they didn't ask the caller about earlier life traumas. Pretty clear she gets off on being treated poorly due to triggers from some past traumatizing experience, hence why shes staying with a shitty dude.

Amazing the things people will reject potential partners for early on, and amazing the things they'll put up with once they're together. The incels might have a point...

The reason that Jasmine enjoys thinking about her ex cheating on her is because it proves to her psychologically that he must be a high value man -since he has options and since other women are willing to have sex with him. It’d be interesting to know if he’s above average in looks or if he makes a good income

Psychologically speaking this is her confort zone, what she is accustomed to due to her early childhood experiences. You tend to seek partners that somehow recreate your childhood, whether it be aggresion, disrespect, humiliation or love, acceptance, care, etc. Evolutionarily speaking, it makes sense to want to stay with a partner that yes, on one hand is 'alpha' and has attractive features (physical and mental), but also cares about you and will stick around to protect and care for you even after reproduction, you shouldn't be attracted to an asshole who treats you (and consequently your kids) like shit.
