As a retired school bus driver, I have driven both forward control and a conventional. I would prefer the Super C for the most important reason to me. Safety. Having that engine in front of me gives me a peace of mind, knowing that I’m not sitting in the front window. Whatever you decide, you do you.
@Lionheart_He-Man3 ай бұрын
I totally agree that the front engine design of the Super C provides a buffer of safety compared to Class A with only the Driver and just glass. 🤔
@citizencane34926 күн бұрын
I would be interested in disclosure of the actual measured turning radius between Class A and Class C for coaches of equal wheelbase. I wonder if perception comes from the difference between riding well behind the front axle versus riding directly above or a bit ahead of the front axle.

That was a beautiful rig. I can’t fathom paying upwards of $750,000 for anything, let alone an RV. But it sure was impressive. After having 5th wheels and a gas class A, we now have a super C and I would never have anything else. Absolutely love driving the super C.

Great review, MJ and Izzy. As you have said, each type of RV has its advantages and disadvantages, RVers just need to determine which suits their needs the best. But a 30,000 lb. towing capacity is huge!

I am a die hard Super C fan. We love our Super C. Just added a SafeT Plus on the front end and it drives like a dream. Love the safety factors of a Super C. I have seen too many Class A accidents here in Florida and always hated Cabovers in the trucking industry. Love this Super C it is beautiful and expensive. Our Accolade XL is perfect for us.

The thing to remember guys is that in a Super C and , hopefully it doesn’t happen , you get into an accident you have some protection from the engine . If you’re involved in an accident with a Class A…you are the 1sr ones to the accident , there’s no protection in front of you . Good Luck & Happy Hunting .

I forgot to comment a few days ago when I watched the video. In the trucking world, Freightliner always had a rough ride. Old school drivers " Like me " called Freightliners " Freightshakers " because of their ride. I know there's a difference between a RV and a tractor trailer. But a Freightshaker is a Freighshaker lol, out of curiosity you should try driving a Super C on a Peterbilt or Kenworth chassis. But I have to admit that Volvo has the softest ride and smoothest shifting of all trucks and this is coming from a Pete and Kenworth fanboy. If you get a chance, test drive those other Super C'S.

I do like the Super Cs and diesel pushers. I’d rather have a powerful engine with lots of towing capacity in case I want to tow my pickup. However, while I adore the luxurious interiors, I admit I’m more of a simple person so the interior of a simple Class C or Class A would be it for me. I also wish more diesel RVs included a proper oven in their kitchens. I don’t know why it’s like that in the gas RVs but not in diesels. If there’s a rhyme/reason for it, I’d sure love to know. Hey Newmar, if you’re reading this then please make a budget diesel RV with a simple interior and proper oven in the kitchen! I’ll start putting money aside for it!

The biggest problem with Super C’s and the reason we eliminate them as an option is that the passenger cannot put their legs up with the leg rest. This is critical for the wife on long driving days. Easily done on a Class A diesel pusher and makes traveling for the passenger much more comfortable. Something to think about.

@ithinkthere4iam4357 ай бұрын
@BajaGirl302 Not necessarily. There are 4 models of Class A from Newmar with more HP and Torque combined than their top tier Super C. And even if you compare to similarly priced Class As you get a 9% increase in Torque, no increase in HP. As a full-timer, that is in no way worth the loss of 5 feet of living space. The only way it is safer is if you're scared of a head-on collision.

At least you guys did show some of the road, but lol just everyone else, lets not show the drive or the road....why would I want to stare at a driver, that wont tell me anything especially when they talk about the drive and, "Like right there that big pot hole we hit...." I don't know, all I saw was the front full view of the driver lol. Anyway, The Fire Engines my Department had we had two Freightliner and 1 tanker/tender thats a International, and we also had the classic flat front city engine on a K3 Spartan. Now that turned like a class A motorcoach or City Bus. The other two are like tractor trailers on the highway which is like a Super C. You go along in the turn unlike a Class A where you sit over or in front of the wheel and when you turn you are in the turn leading the tires. Cool thanks for bringing us along❤❤

Well I'm only 3 minutes in on this beautiful, Newmar, Freightliner. I'm sold! And it's what? Only $2 million? Am I low? It's, OK. I only have $25,000. For a motorhome. So? It's for guys who are into NASCAR. They are all millionaires. Big, millionaires. I'm just try to get my hands on a 2002 Monaco Knight. Those seem real nice. I'll just have to suffer with one of those. And it's all right. I won't be towing, 30,000 pounds of NASCAR race cars. I might not even tow. My 2007 Honda CRV. I don't like towing things. I'll have to make do. It's a motorhome it has an engine and tires. I like truck stops. They always feed you will in the restaurant. Services generally first rate. They usually have parts. They frequently have a hotel. They have showers. They have clothing. They have electronics. They have entertainment. They've got lots of 2 way radios. The minimart's are well-stocked. The game rooms are good. The movies are fun. You can get a haircut. You can see a doctor. You can see a lawyer. You can see a Lot Lizard. There is usually a liquor store nearby. McDonald's is across the street. It offers all the comforts of home. While on the road. If I had the money I would definitely get that. That is absolutely to my liking. Especially the drivetrain. That's a motorhome that's not gonna break down for, 2 million miles. So it only costs one dollar per mile to own. That should be no problem. What? 50% down. That's only $0.50 Sure! I'm sold! I like those better ones. That are, just an entire Semi Trailer. With expandable sides. The kind they use for the Big TV NFL type trucks. And then you can tow another 48 foot trailer behind that. No? Okay then. Make it, Two,, 20 foot tandem trailers. I mean why go with this ridiculous thing? Because it can tow 30,000 pounds. So can a, Semi Tractor Trailer. I mean it is slightly easier. Stopping to go to the bathroom. You don't have to get down.. OK. I get it. It's the Lap of Luxury. And can get to the bathroom quicker without an accident. I understand perfectly. You, should be drinking that much beer when you are driving. RemyRAD
