It's a bittersweet 'good' ending because mama badger js at the end with you. By saving the mama badger from the trap easier on she helps you out by giving your cubs food when you move into the last den with her. It's sad that she loses her baby in the flood though. But if the mama fox was going to die then at least she knows mama badger will help raise and protect her cubs

I think the reason why it is a good ending because is not only for the mother that she would be alive at the end I think it is that when she pass away from her wounds and save her own children. She was glad that her children that are still alive and yes the end was tragic as her children watch there own mother die right in front of them, but there’s always the part when the mother loves her children so much, she will be willingly enough to make a sacrifice to herself for in order protecting her children no matter the cost between life and death. I believe that is about how it ends when the mother dies as her children thrives for the very next step upon life choices and mistakes.

I had such an emotional breakdown finishing this game, and I rushed it in a day so I forgot to save the badgers cub and she wasn’t there to help mine. 😢

I sat down to eat and took my phone to watch KZbin so I wouldn't be so bored. I saw this video and decided to watch it, and thought it looked cute, about some little foxes and their mother. I believed until the end that there would be a good ending. Now I’m sitting and crying, choking on tears. Is this really a good ending?! Well, in the first ending I thought it was just a bad ending, and then there will be a good ending. But I was wrong! There is no happy ending here! Not a cute game at all! At all!

Before you make too many opinions, try watching some more endling games. It's actually really cute sometimes *SOMETIMES* sometimes its scary but its really cute when you make bonds. Also when they saved the badger cub was rlly cute :)

No, I don't think it would need any sequels. In order to have a sequel, it needs to surpass how much emotions were pushed in first game, otherwise you may find it either repetitive, or completely empty, or done for the purpose of milking. Also I believe the second sequel would entirely ruin the first game. I myself don't want to see how the foxes grow up, I don't want to see how the badger takes care of the foxes. To be honest, I want players themselves to decide what will happen afterwards, then you will find it relatable at some points to our world. The answer should be yourselves, not the dev's sequel. For example, from what I observe, the fox species will be completely extinct even with the care of badger. The rate of survival is almost 0% out there because the threat is not just human, it can be anything else, and we also see a brief moment of a broken nuclear reactor in the credit scene, and that's definitely not a good sign. With the care of badger, I think it will most likely alter the habitats of those foxes, so when they go out to find food, most likely they can't keep up with the badger, and get lost. Of course, you guys don't need to think like me. It's fine to think that mother fox will survive, it indicates that sometimes there lies a light of hope in the vast world of cruelty. Or you can also think that the foxes are now fully grown up with the skills their mothers taught, and eventually the fox species is finally alive once again, indicating that you always need to move on and let go despite all the loss and how much the world is against you.

I haven't played but I read a comment that FadeMist wrote to another person and I can see it does suck but I see it the bad ending the mother badger isn't there meaning the baby's well die along with their mother sense they won't be shown how to survive on their own but in the good ending the mother badger is with them to try her best to raise them she lost her own baby yes both ending probably suck but it does have a meaning and it is a sad side but a good side at least mother badger can help the baby foxes the best she can and help them survive all in all sad I haven't played it to learn the real story but I seeing these does help me understand a little and if I had to say anything good I will say wish I could get the game it looks sad but also a good game 10/10 also sorry for the long sentence X_X rip who ever stuck around to read it.

This is both a sad and good ending. The sad part is Mother Fox's death but the good part is the Cubs have a mother Badger that lost her child to care for them.

The mom didn't drown. They ended up in this big ol' desert where they found some sort of wildlife conservation park or smth. The Mama nearly got in, but the furrier ended up shooting her, and she died in the forest. I guess she took the rainbow bridge up to the stars.
