I have been pondering your comments, Jake, about why people seem not to care about their myopia. For me, EndMyopia came as a part of a total package for life improvement. For about a decade I was going off to my ok job, doing ok work, going home to my ok marriage and doing an ok job as a parent. Then I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and I had to reevaluate the direction I was allowing my life to go. I was tired of living a life that belonged to everyone else. So I quit the job, started getting in shape, changed my diet and began figuring out how to live a life I would want to participate in. EndMyopia showed up in the middle of that process and it seemed like the exact thing for me. Why live the rest of my life chained to lenses?

Sharada, Great improvement. Congrats. Trataka with candle is pretty powerful & heavy on eyes. So, a) dont do it for more than 10 min a day. ( 20 min, if you dont use mobile screens that much) b) keep the candle at distance: 60 cm if -3.00 to -2.00 myopia. 120 cm candle distance if -2.00 to -1.00. 180 cm candle distance if myopia less than -1.00. c) take a rest day off after every 2 days. And 1 week rest after every 3 weeks. d) dont use glasses when you gaze into the flame. e) Dont stare for too long. Blinking is necessary for eyes. f) do some eye exercises (for 2 to 3 min) like rotating your eyes clockwise & anti-clockwise before & after the Trataka session. g) Take 15 min rest by closing eyes after each trataka session. (just sharing my personal experience & views. I am not an expert.)

Great new series. Jake you talked about something soooo important: pleople's intangible attitude about reversing myopia makes the difference (17'00"). I love it and find it so true. Regardless physical gaining ratio, attitude (mindset) is fundmental. 31'10" another great consideration about many myopes' lack of interest about reversing myopia. Congrats to your student for amazing success.

This is powerful Jake! It just goes to shows that it's nothing magical and it's really taking those steps to change habits, reduce lens appropriately, and doing it consistently. I like how Sharada said she was obsessed with it! My best improvements happened during that obsession phase. Going after active focus and seeing the results that come from it. Excited for Sharada to get to 20/20 and to continue this process to get to 20/20 myself.

Honestly, I think the video format is an awesome idea. Facebook updates and emails on the topic are great, but I feel like the videos are not only more interpersonal but motivational as well. These conversations (especially in a face-to-face context) have the ability to bring stories alive and motivate others (like myself) who are pursuing Endmyopia. Sharada's story is so inspirational and I feel like other stories will keep the motivation up for those who are in the process of/ want to improve their eyesight.

Thanks Jake, this is definitely a great idea, reducing screen dependence. I'll be here for the next one I have 2 suggestions: 1) Doesn't apply here, ask what setbacks and challenges has the person faced in their vision quest 2) Ask what the person does in their daily life, not so much their occupation but what they do most of the time, to get an idea how much time they spend on what focal planes, and on what activities

That was cool! I also had the experience of not searching for vision improvement and then stumbling on to it. First I saw some bates like stuff and then kept clicking on the youtube recommendations and found you Jake. At first I wasn't sure you were the stuff, but after a little more investigation, I realized you had the method that worked. And then I got pretty obsessed about the whole thing. I think I always thought there was more to this myopia thing than, go to the eye doc get glasses and wear glasses for the rest of your life. It never totally made sense to me.

It happens to see the motion between the two objects. And after doing 5-6 days i found the clarity more than before. The things are not clear but have more contrast and brightness but m not able to see edges and sharpness. I fount that All its about the relaxation of ciliary muscles as i have experienced till now. Hello Jake, just a follow up. I discovered that I have an equivalent sphere of +0.25 in both eyes (OD +2.25/-4.0/78) (OS +2.5/-4.5/82). This would explain why I have ok distance vision (20/40 with the odd flash of 20/30 -2 depending on dryness and lighting). Near vision is excellent and even double vision is gone with the active focusing exercises I've been doing. Given the near zero equivalent sphere I am wondering if I need do progressive diopter steps. I am functioning fine with out glasses but plan to keep doing active focusing and other exercises and tracking. I will admit to using pinhole glasses while watching TV at night but that only to read any text that may be on the screen. I might be crazy but they seem to help when removed. Any insight would be great ! PS, I give my cataract surgeon credit for getting rid of my glasses that I've had for 50yrs even if I am not 20/20 just yet ! Mindyou a recent retinal tear wasn't fun but the surgeon fixed it and did a fluid change so all my floaters are gone in my right eye. Just waiting for a tear in my left so I can get those floaters out of there also !!

What if you do active focus on your phone? :) meaning at a distance where letters are slightly blurry, which means your myopia is strong enough for that :) (like the “print pushing” Todd Becker talked about that is same as active focus). If that is still not good, why?

I may have discovered active focus though while looking at things in the distance with contacts on. Last visit they said my vision was -6.25 but they didn't raise my contacts up from -5.50 because I read the chart perfectly. I didn't see the chart perfectly but I made out the letters just barely and guessed letters accurately a few times.

I meant that I also look at things with letters like signs and also things like trees that don't have very defined obvious edges like letters. I wouldn't say I am improving. I would say that I am.making -5.50 work for me with eyes that are more like -6.50 averaged between the two.

I do have -5.25D. I had one question in my mind. After doing active focus exercise for let's suppose 2hrs a day, should I wear my prescribed corrective glasses of -5.25D or I should have some weak power glasses say -4.75D and I should start using this glass after doing active focus exercise to reduce my power progressively.

I'm already thinking of creative ways to take my info with me to help other people to take the time to look into reduced lens therapy. I'm a bit of a dreamer and can be obsessive. I just started this journey 3 weeks ago and am waiting to receive my online order that including differentials. My vision has already gone from 20/25 to 20/12.

Ive been down from 3.5 to 2 but this year has been really busy for me (preparing uni) and I dont have time to practice all the good habits. Consequently my eyes got worse (around 2.5). Will it still work if I begin endmyopia again in the future?

I work with computer monitors at arms length away. I am thinking of getting glasses and contacts soon. I will try to rely on glasses and use an old prescription of -4.25 to work at my desk and the -6.50 to drive etc. Is this a good idea to add to my good habits to improve eyesight?

It seems crazy they don't offer this approach of having a desk prescription and a driving prescription to help keep the eyes from worsening.

Great video! Got some questions though, like why did Sharada tell the optometrist that she has diabetes? Isn't staring bad for the eyes? Is there any science behind looking at the morning sun for relaxation?
