@polka-dotman998 For God’s sake, who among us has studied the natural sciences without feeling, even once in his life, amazement, awe, and a feeling for the great Creator who organized all of this? Non-religious people themselves have confessions about those moments, so let's not be too sensitive about this issue. This feeling is a truth that we will not deny by ignoring it, and we will not be able to hide it no matter what we do. Yes, facing this truth is difficult, but escape is not the solution. We seek knowledge and this issue is the focus of our attention, but even if this brings many things that we do not want, unfortunately, our desire does not change reality

Guyton and Hall’s 13th edition ( Page no 946 ) says that, “The part of the hypothalamus that causes secretion of GHRH is the ventromedial nucleus; this is the same area of the hypothalamus that is sensitive to blood glucose concentration, causing satiety in hyperglycemic states and hunger in hypoglycemic states.” It clearly says that GHRH is released by ventromedial nucleus. And its mentioned here its arcuate nuclei. Can you please Explain?

Thank you for separating out the effects of GH and IGF-1. I was initially confused bc I assumed "INSULIN-like growth factor" ought to act "like Insulin", which made me confused as to why Gluconeogenesis was being triggered by GH. Now I see that Insulin-like growth factor just effects growth of bone/muscle/cartilage, and that gluconeogenesis is being triggered GH and that this is a separate action from that of IGF-1.

@@n3me51s2 Yeah exactly. It's IGF-1 which has direct action on bones, cartilage, and muscle to make you bigger/stronger. GH just stimulates IGF-1 release. Turns out it is called Insulin-like growth factor only because it has a similar sequence to Insulin, but it does not act similarly :o

I wish you could teach my doctor about the effects of high Igf-1 levels on muscles and bones. I have issues with high levels of IGf-1 whereas my GH levels are ok. My doctor cannot understand the reasons why there is not correlation between the two hormones. Is there an explanation for it ? I have bigger and atrophied muscles, painful joints, and changes on all bones of my body. Keep doing what you are doing. Medicine students can benefit from it, so when they go into the field they will have the knowledge they need to deliver outstanding care. Kudos to you 👏

Honestly your videos truly showed me how complex and miraculous the body is. To imagine all of this cellular complexity, intelligence and specialization is occurring in all of us all of the time is just mind blowing. But what is really remarkable is the fact that men throughout history have discovered all of this is equally remarkable and they all deserves so much respect and appreciation. I also feel that the more deeper we go the more we find out how little we know since the complexity increases. Thank you for your amazing videos.
