Im an amateur Kickboxer. I study Journalism. I discovered your channel while I was researching about how to improve my endurance... I love the science behind the sports. I love the algorithm that you created to make a scheme so we can understand better. Believe me Man, its amazing to learn these small details. You have No idea how much I enjoy Learning these... Thank you, man. Thank you to the crew that edit those vids. Greetings from Turkey. Much love and respect...

🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 00:00 *🏃‍♂️ Traditional endurance is often visualized as long-distance running, but it's more complex.* 00:28 *⚖️ Endurance involves a network of factors; it's not just about cardio.* 01:23 *🧠 Endurance depends on bodily processes beyond aerobic capacity, involving both aerobic and anaerobic systems.* 02:16 *🌡️ Endurance requires consideration of various systems like anaerobic metabolism and neuromuscular factors.* 02:43 *🔋 Anaerobic systems are powerful but short-lived compared to aerobic systems that rely on oxygen.* 04:32 *🚴 Sports like boxing and sprinting require different endurance training; it’s not only about aerobic exercises.* 05:42 *🥊 Endurance training should be specific to the sport's demands, like PCR system for sprinters.* 06:24 *⏱️ Endurance is situation-dependent and varies by the sport's time span and effort level.* 07:19 *🧠 Differentiate between central nervous system fatigue and peripheral fatigue, both impact endurance.* 08:00 *🚦 Lactate threshold is crucial for maximizing aerobic endurance and delaying anaerobic reliance.* 09:12 *💊 Explosive training enhances phosphor creatine stores, vital for sports requiring bursts of power.* 09:26 *🧠 Neuromuscular factors, like motor unit recruitment, play a significant role in endurance.* 10:19 *⚙️ Movement efficiency, or economy, allows for higher performance with less energy expenditure.* 13:49 *🤔 Endurance also involves mental toughness, a complex area not well-covered in sports science.* Made with HARPA AI

Do you split "endurance" for two categories which is stamina ("heart and lungs") and endurance (muscular endurance)? Great video as always.

Yes, I use the synonyms aerobic endurance and anaerobic endurance when dividing those two qualities. Thanks for watching!

@@PowerTraining sorry this is a bit late but I'd like to ask: can the PCr system and anaerobic glycolysis be trained together? for example an intense sprint or would that be focused more on one than the other?
