Honestly I don't have a problem with the Jardaan being prothean, it gives even more story to back up how truly dominant their empire was. However I have said this a lot, but I don't want to see geth bad guys.

Problem is, it was never hinted that the Protheans mastered terraforming planets or creating organic life.

@@LightStreak567 you are right. However I totally don't want the trash Andromeda galaxy to be tied in with the mass effect trilogy anyways. But also places like Ilos and its also showed us that not even high ranking protheans knew most of what went on in the empire.

You may not like Mass Effect Andromeda, but there are people who do, including me, and there are a lot of unanswered questions in Andromeda that I don't want being left unexplained. Whatever BioWare has in mind, I am very curious to see what they do.

@@WaterMelon-Cat I wouldn't jump to conclusions and make a claim like that. Besides, how would any of this be possible? Andromeda is set 6 centuries after the trilogy. They are DIVIDED by time and space.

Unfortunately i strongly disagree with this. My main reason being that Jaardan and Prothean Tehnology is extremely different. Think back to all the prothean technology we know of. The Protheans were incredibly gifted biotics and infused biotics/psionics into their tech. The Beacons transmitted a vision into shepard's head. Javik carries around a collection of shared history and memories of his people. None of the Remnant tech has this kind of telepathy or biotic influence. Ryder needed Sam, an AI to make sense of it all in any way. Also prothean Tech was green and Remnant tech is Blue. That's the biggest reason. Respect the colour scheme

Best and most obvious explanation it’s pretty obvious the jardaan have nothing to do with Milky Way they are a precursor race of the andromeda galaxy

I theorize the Jardaan being the Inusannon but Idk since I doubt BioWare would care that much about their own lore and ancient races. In the entire trilogy, the Inusannon were only mentioned like twice maybe

I am going off topic a bit. My daughter who plays halo and mass effect together asked me last night if John 117 and commander Shepard could have a similar blood line. Then she goes on and list so many traits they share. I personally doubt it but, nice to see her thinking and having theories all on her own. She is only 12.

Here's a curious thought. Perhaps both your and Fade's theory is true. The Protheans worshipped strength, so after noting that the Reapers obliterated absolutely everything could Andromeda-Protheans have uploaded themselves into synthetic creatures to rival the Reapers in the future? Transhumanist Darwinism. Protheans became Jardaan.

There is a problem with this theory , first off the protheans were mainly a war based empire , in the shards were clues and old rumours of iios as well as others , in the end for 200 years they resisted , world by world system by system those that called themselves prothean in the end were consumed and used as foot soldiers Against them , in Javick own world project vengeance was there last stand, I have no doubt that the empire extended into the omega 4 relay hence the collectors in mass , there may still be outposts fighting there as there were fresh collectors not just clones , but all the way to andromeda? If they ever did and found a synthetic race or mainly robotic life the protheans would have more likely launched the scourge to annihilate any possible reminder. The jardann may either predate even the protheans arrival, or possibly one of the races that fled the Milky Way to get away from the empire but if they did there would also be prothean architecture and beacons , and ezzo debris, even the reapers left some buried ruins. With most of the system devoid of it , I just cannot see it The protheans may have thought it wasn’t worth it if it lacked key minerals , little is known of the protheans in there hay days The fact that they built other mass relays shows that combined the knowledge of the races that. Made the protheans , would have definitely left a trace of there existence . Besides andromeda is a vast galaxy there are other possible locations bthey could have gone to.

During one of the conversations with Javik he reveals that all their conquest became Protheans. I imagined that meant some kind of genetic modification as he also said that in his cycle all species had four eyes. In this way they were like the Khet are now. He further explained that is because of this lack of diversity being The weakness the reapers exploited. Having the same tactics and being predictable.

50,000 is a long time for the potential Prothean-Jardaan not to try to reclaim their homeland after the Reapers went away. That's the main issue I'd see with this. Why wouldn't they come back?

I mean it took millions of years for the Crucible to be even somewhat viable to wipe out the Reaper's so 50K years probably wasn't enough yet, I think anyway!

@@EndymionTv Assuming these hypothetical Andromedan Protheans were starting from scratch on the Crucible project and didn't have the Protheans own nearly complete plans one it, 50,000 years is probably less than the total time spent on the project by all cycles. "Millions of years" is including a lot of downtime between cycles and when spacefaring societies don't even know that they should be building the thing in the first place. But even without the Crucible, it's possible to defeat the Reapers conventionally. You'd need significant advanced warning, a driven society dedicated to the purpose, and a huge of amount of resources to do so - just churning out countless ships to overwhelm the Reapers. But that's exactly what Andromedan Protheans would have at their disposal. Of course, in 50,000 years, it's entirely possible they gone off-mission and even for them the Reapers have passed into legend and myth.

@@EndymionTv also i was in bed smoking my sleeper dobe thinking about this video abd id like this change something the Angaraan weren't made as slaves by the jardaan/prothean but they were actually made to research what they now call exaltation the Angaraans unexpectedly evolved to reincarnate and remember experiments been done on them by jardaan so they rebel the jardaan dont have the numbers so they run leaving the scourge in there wake to stop the Angaraan from becoming great and the jardaan return as the kett instead of making other species part of the empire they turned them into them all this came fromwhat they learned from what reapers were doin also explain there hate for any AI

A cool way to tie this theory with the OT is the fact the Jardaan being gone from Andromeda, maybe the went back to the Milky way, lets say they arrive just before Shepard makes his choice (Destroy) and Shepard and crew (Javik included) will need to deal with this Empire of Protheans trying to take over the now Reaper-less galaxy….which side would Javik choose?

There were plenty of races wiped out before the Protheans. I'd be more inclined to believe that the Jaardan were an even older race that had attempted to preserve themselves by sending limited AIs to Andromeda to prepare it for their species. Once the worlds were habitable, the bodies would be programmed and released. A plan that went well for the terraforming machine construction, but was ruined when a local life form set off a doomsday device that created the scourge. The Angara didn't get their programming, the locals were wiped out, and the Jaardan machines were always as stupid as they appear. The Kett may also be another ancient race, from another cycle. Their issue having been too small of a population to be viable, and their genetic manipulation of others being their way of staving off extinction at the expense of all they encounter. There's my theory, but we'll probably find out Bioware's version in about 2 years.

I think the Protheans manipulated the records. An uber ego driven empire claiming anyone did anything better would make them look weak. I think the Jardaan could have been another Milky Way race but possibly another one that ran away from the Reapers rather than trying to fight them. So they had an Andromeda initiative but it was more to actually survive and thrive rather than exploration.

The protheons made their own relay even after the reapers had destroyed virtually everything. Also giving the next cycle a fighting chance. The protheons were an indeed a far advance race compared to the rest of the current cycle races. In fact no other race in the current cycle comes close to the protheons.. not even the asari. So yeah, I see a possibility that a group of protheons may have left the milky way... even before the reapers arrival.

On Ilos there are statues of another race with tentacle faces. It's possible the Protheans being an Empire only used the idea they were so great and amazing to make them look strong. We find out they didn't build the Citadel, they didn't build the Mass Relays and many other technologies. It's possible they didn't build the relay on Ilos either but they have to much of an ego to not admit it.

I disagree with the idea of this theory first of all I don't believe we should read that far into what javik said in Mass Effect 3 because most of what he said may have or not been borderline fiction he was speaking as a soldier who was the last of his kind trying to peice together for himself and for Shepard a story that might have explained why he believed his race had fallen because as he also stated the protheans when he was born only had tiny fragments of their history that could be glimpses through the memory shards as to many of their planets and areas of their "empire" had already collapsed infact he even hinted that they only started to enslave or dominate the other races only a few years before the reapers came during what he had referred to the metacon war when the synthetics of their time were rebelling against their creators. So it kind of makes little sense to believe that protheans would just go about enslaving races just for the hell of it

Havnt finished Andromeda yet, i have a few possible thoughts...what if Jardaan is an ancient race from Andromeda far more advanced than any other species and they dissapeared some time ago cause they sensed a really strange danger comming from elsewhere? Could it be possible to link this to the Lost and never found Ark maybe and possible a link to the next Mass Effect?
