Or what if the Scourge was the result of a "Destroy" like event? A choice by that "Jhaln" which sounds Angarran, but also sounds suspiciously similar to "John" or "Jane"?

@@EndymionTv You are right, it could as well be a case of convergent evolution: similar solutions to similar problems. But, there is also the case of the Geth repurposed Mass Relay - telescope. What if this repurposed Mass Relay- telescope could operate as a two-way communication device, intentionally or not? It makes me wonder.

I feel like The Scourge was a weapon aimed to stop the Jardaan from navigating space or to stop them from retreating from the "Opposition" that was mentioned in that recording 👌🤔

Yes but since we’re talking in theories here and nothing can be set in stone, that opposition was likely trying to eliminate the Jardaan. But it was unsuccessful in destroying them HOWEVER it did drive them out of that cluster at the very least. So not really a win for the opposition but not really a loss either. Man I can’t wait for Mass Effect 4 so my mind can go nuts with theories and stuff 😂

Maybe the opposition is any native races in the rest of the galaxy that dont want jardaan experiments to take over everything. And they united and used the scourge to stop their spread.

It seems more like either it was a weapon used against the jardann, or maybe it's the effects of the dark energy thing which would also explain why the reapers only care about the milkyway maybe most the other galaxies are being consumed by the scourge already

It says in the game that there was opposition to the remnant and that they had to hide meridian. It's strongly implies that the scourge was the weapon deployed by the Jardaan enemies and it is shown attacking the remnant ships, extending it's tendrils to try to catch them midair. The scourge is the enemy of the Jardaan, not their weapon.

Or if we wanna go full tinfoil hats here: the Angara ARE the Jardaan. They just fell so hard so fast they forgot. Kind of like how the proto-British remembered the Romans as a race of supernatural giants.

What if the jardaan created the scourge to keep something out? Like the reapers for example coming to harvest the system?? What if the jardaan were trying to perfect synthesis to stop the reapers from continuing their goal and wanted to protect sentient life from this outcome?

This will be the NEW threat in Mass Effect 4. It's the link between Andromeda and The Milky Way..... Among some "other" things...

It is a Sci fi trope. I think, especially with their genetic / reincarnation memories, they'd know an teach that they come from rebels. Unless the original (genetically) Angara were originally working with the Jardaan, but then later rebelled (when they learned that these modified ones were to be vessels for Jardaan synthetic consciousness) so the two groups, original and modified never met.

Interesting theory, I think the Jardaan have enemies and they set off the scourge. The Jardaan are the Angara!

My theory on the Scourge is that it is basically a galactic mine field for Reapers. Say some Reapers went to Andromeda, invaded it in the 2/3 of the map we can't go to, and the Jaraan tried to fight them, couldn't, were loosing, fell back to this area and the Scourge was activated.

So it's the opposite in Andromeda, all life starts as "synthetic" (IE robotic-like) and eventually they create organic life, which rebels against them.

My theory is that the vaults and remnant tech in heleus cluster was a grand scientific endeavor by jardaan scientists rather than something the jardaan always do. Which threatened others within the jardaan either militaristic or religous (possibly the precurser to the kett) created a weapon to destroy it all

Im not convinced. You are basically saying the Angara are the organic counterparts to the Geth. The Jardaan and Quarians both made lifeforms and wanted to control them but failed. I mean its a nice subversion of the trope but it doesnt feel right. Especially when the Kett are already playing the part of the Collectors/Reapers in Andromeda. I mean you could be right, but I just wish there were different stories to tell. Feels like we are going around in circles.

I think the scourge was created by Jardaan resistance forces( ie Resistance, Terrorism, opposing forces). Think similar scenario to Reaper War and how the Crucble was just a large bomb set of by opposing forces. What if Andromeda got a hold of the plans for the crucible by an earlier civilization and something went wrong or design flaw ripping the fabric of time hence the scourge.

It's simple. The destroy ending was cannon. When Shepard destroyed the Reapers? It affected other galaxies. Thus, the scourge. Shepard destroyed the Reapers, which was the ultimate culmination of synthetic and organic. Thus it failed every where else.

Do you think the opposition could have been the reapers because both A.I and the jardaan and reapers may have had a different view on organics which could have lead to a war involving the jardaan deploying the scourge against the reapers

Like your purge theory., although to me doesn't fully fit, for this reason, The scourge would be over kill, it would wipe entire solar systems just taking away the terraforming power from a planet would kill everything off no need for that level of destruction. Sabotage is a good reason although I think liara shouldn't be left out. The timeline for the new game actual could match the time line of the scourge, finding a threat to Andromeda Initiative liara takes drastic actions and with support from other Jardaans she sends signal that overloads so critical tech that creates cascaded and breaks there mass effect generates that cause that to happen.

Pretty sure the first time you hear KETT is from the nexus right? But it doesn’t line up cause the Angara called them Kett too. So unless the Angara told the Nexus that then it’s just weird videogame logic cause first contact if I remember isn’t made til Ryder goes to Aya. I could be wrong tho I mean I am stupid so

@@nicholasnewman1810 Well the initiative didn’t know that the Kett or even the scourge was in andromeda since both things were not shown or hinted at before the initiative began their 600 year long Uber ride. So some stuff happened between their ice nap and arriving and here we are. I think we can chalk up the whole Kett thing as just game convenience it’s fine

Great video but as a headphone user that background music was way too loud and too fast of a beat. I struggled to stay focused on what you was saying as my mind keep tuning your voice out as white noise. Get that sorted and your channel has a bright future.
