Not that anyone cares but just to be a little more precise, FEA (Finite Element Analysis) will show where and how a part experiences stress under a given load/ pressure. "Parametric optimization" is really what this suppressor went through with the given stess parameters from FEA.

You could put that in am ultrasonic bath. Cavitations will not effect it as much as taking any kind of brush, or solvent to it would.

You need more hard surfaces to reflect the sound so we can hear the echo. The peak sound isn't caught by these microphones.

It metered less at the ear in the short configuration? Even if it's the same that seems a little weird. Though I guess with the long barrel and subsonic ammo it could make sense.
@ryleynoyes5 жыл бұрын
Could also be some bolt noise. Longer configuration could have higher back pressure and make the bolt louder. Just q guess though

Why would you have to send them the can to swap out the end cap? I mean there are several cans out there that have swappable end caps for swapping calibers. How is this different?
@nfareview6 жыл бұрын
Because they would have to design a "blast deflector" device for their endcap so the ATF wouldn't classify it as a "suppressor part". This is why you see these QD blast deflector things from Dead Air, Rugged, Silencerco, etc. They had to have these products publicly available to accept endcap's to prove to the ATF that the interchangeable caps on the suppressor line is not solely a suppressor part. Clever on their end, but stupid we had to deal with any unconstitutional paperwork.
@juanthelawnmowerthief16416 жыл бұрын
@@nfareview Ah now it all makes sense, thanks for the clarification! It's a good thing you dont have to actually buy a "blast deflector" to own a different end cap, that cost the same as another stamp.
@nfareview6 жыл бұрын
Juanthelawnmowerthief yeah that would suck. They just have to show they make it. It’s funny, most of the companies I’ve worked with never even planned on actually selling the blast deflector. They just did it because they had to and one day they decided to test the waters and they sold a ton of them, the other companies then followed suit, go figure lol

Dumb question can you use the front half independently from the rest
@machinesandthings71215 жыл бұрын
If im understanding your question correctly the answer would be No. That would be creating a "new" supressor. The serialized part needs to be mounted to the firearm when firing. Which in this case is the back half. Some manufacturers put there serial numbers on the threaded barrel cap, so any part forword could be used, or not used. What the ATF doesn't want you to do is to use 1 supressor broken in half on two different guns simultaneously.
@michaelj6036 жыл бұрын
Anyone able to recommend a way to only have to buy one suppressor for my handguns 45 acp to 22 lr? I hear that just shooting 22 lr is still on the louder side when shot through a 45 acp suppressor because the larger diameter allowed gasses to escape. Is there a suppressor with multiple end caps both 22 and 45 and will that work well or still no where near a dedicated 22 can. I know it will be a larger heavier can then a dedicated 22 and it will have to be able to disassemble to clean dirty 22 ammo. Any recommendations appreciated.

Mike W contact Ruger. Should cycle all 22’s.
@user-td1zo3tv9p6 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Contact Ruger and ask them for suggestions. My 10/22 can reliably cycle with just about EVERY brand and type of .22LR ammo I've tried short of Subsonic rounds. And even they will start to extract/eject but the case returns to the chamber. I say just about every type of LR ammo because I honestly cannot remember ANY brand not functioning properly for me. Perhaps if you thoroughly clean your action and apply a VERY THIN layer of QUALITY lubricating grease to the recoil spring/rods it will smooth up. Another thing is if the gun is still pretty new it may just need to be broken in and the reciprocating parts smoothed up with repeated use.

I don't edit my sounds. The sound is low because the powered microphone is set low to capture the tone of the gunshot. If it were set to the max the mic would peak out and it would sound like crap and not tell the story. #themoreyouknow If you attended Suppressed Fest 2018 then you would have heard this suppressor in person. If we keep acquiescing to them, they will keep on pushing us around. It's their Bully Pulpit mentality. In closing, STOP acting like food and maybe the Jackals will quit seeing you as food.
