So, KZbin just pulled the ad's on my video. They said it wasn't "advertiser friendly" yet this video was rolling Concealed Carry Insurance ad's on it. A video showing a LEGAL silencer and actually educating people on it. This video was averaging 16,000 views an hour and as soon as they pulled the ad's it dropped to 500. Yet they say "removing ad's will not affect your audience reach"...how they can say that and keep a straight face is beyond me. At the same time KZbin is censoring my video, they're busy promoting womanizing Vloggers who upload nothing but clickbait trash. This is the world we live in, a world full of ignorant liberals who want nothing more but to control the masses through media. Thank god for all my support on Patreon. Your car has a silencer? Well, clearly you intend on using it to sneak up on pedestrians and drive over them, right? That statement makes as much sense as yours. It really does. "Have tool, must murder everyone with it" is an absolutely moronic way to view everything in the world. You do realise knives are nearly soundless in operation? So they should be banned too, right? Screwdrivers? Bows and arrows? Just because something is now *slightly* quieter suddenly means everybody starts killing people with it? The video also *clearly* demonstrates how loud the supersonic crack of the bullets are, as well as the very loud operation of the bolt in the semiautomatics? Did you notice that? Apparently not, it's the 'I have literaly no idea what this is, so it must be banned!' reaction. Great. Or even better 'I've seen this in a movie and it was bad, so that's how ALL of them will be used ALL the time, ban it! Teach me oh great Hollywood, purveyer of all wisdom!'

User can send their used wipe to their dealer for a swap. I know Hansohn Brothers is doing $5 wipe swap replacements that includes return postage. Several other dealers are offering similar. For anyone who is curious, the wipe material is 1/8" reinforced silicone sheet (McMaster-Carr PN 3635K17) that we punch out 1-1/8" dia disks. Users can repair their silencers; they just can't manufacture and stockpile silencer parts. The nose hex is 1-1/4" (wrench supplied) and the wipe retainer uses a 9/16" socket.

I'm not sure I'd trust a wipe after a shore entry. Without a wipe you tilt the gun down and drain it. With a wipe your hoping/praying that you didn't let the rifle go deep enough that water pressure forced water into the suppressor/barrel since now you *can't* drain it at all without first removing the suppressor. Shooting the water out seems like a bad choice as well... Not exactly a real concern for 99.9999% of us, but something I suspect would keep it from being a *safe* alternative to simply ensuring the weapon is drained before firing.
@energeticarmament6 жыл бұрын
The wipe is not specified to be liquid tight nor intended to prevent all water ingress when the firearm is submerged. An intact wipe may prevent incidental intrusion of some water and debris but it's primary design goal is sound reduction by gas control with subsonics. You are absolutely correct that any silencer that may have become filled with water MUST be drained before firing.
@mac113806 жыл бұрын
How often you you shoot after being in water?
@bp9686 жыл бұрын
@@mac11380 most of us never do. But the videos creator mentioned it and mentioned it might be useful to prevent having to drain the rifle and suppressor before firing after a water infil. I just wanted to point out how dangerous that idea is and apparently the manufacturer of the suppressor agreed enough to jump on here and comment as well. I consider that a big positive and if i was in the market for another can right now id seriously consider this one (i also love the multimount QD adapter. Being able to chose your mount is excellent). Just in case someone decides to try and duplicate a scene from a movie or that H&K ad from the 80s-90s its good that they know a high pressure rifle round like 5.56 or 7.62x51 will not play nice with a barrel or suppressor full of water. Your asking for a burst barrel, can, and possibly a serious injury or death.

@@energeticarmament thanks for the response guys. I made it sound more negative then I intended. The can looks and sounds great, i just wanted to point out the video creators comment that it might be useful for a water infil to protect from the gun/suppressor filling with water might not be the best idea. And you said it perfectly, its not designed nor intended to keep out water, especially water under pressure like you'd encounter even if you only submerged the rifle 2-3 feet underneath the surface.
@user-td1zo3tv9p6 жыл бұрын
@73Corbin, EXACTLY! Even IF the mfr said it was waterproof, taking any weapon beneath the water WILL allow water migration into the action then down the bore and, ultimately, into the can if tilted downward. Depending how deep the weapon was submerged would determine the amount of water creeping into the chamber, etc. So if you need to be 100% water free, you'll need to bag your smoke pole. Anything else, can wipe or not, is a crap shoot. There you go. Overnout.

I remember a while back my buddy who was in various special operations told me one of the suppressors he used was so quiet you could hear the firing pin when shooting. Looks like us civilians can finally get one now, too! Pretty cool! I think this suppressor will accompany my first rifle. I hadn't really considered a bolt action in 300BLK, but now I'm curious. Gonna definitely look into it for my first rifle. :)

That's damn impressive. Thoughts on this in direct thread vs. a Sandman Ti for a bolt gun setup? It looks gassier on the semi autos (which would make sense given the noise reduction) but that's obviously a non issue on bolts.

Add a solid gasket a quarter-inch in front of the muzzle, put a fill nipple on the tube immediately after that gasket, put a relief valve on the other end of the tube immediately before the closing solid gasket shown in this video, flush-fill with Carbon Dioxide with the relief valve open, disconnect the gas line, close the relief value. Oxygen problem: SOLVED.

I don't know, that kind of accuracy is good for tacticool jones but for serious shooters that is really down right unacceptable. If the rifle cannot shoot as good with the can as with out it then you know you got a crummy can. Quiet doesn't mean anything if you can't hit the target.
@Ephem136 жыл бұрын
OGC Haxzor, I'm doubting your "serious shooter" mentality. If you note the rifle being used, you would know that the groupings are pretty standard fair for the rifle in stock form. Also "shoot as good with the can as without it", is a fictional fantasy land. If a rifle is set-up to be fired in a match with a can, you will not be able to reproduce it's accuracy without it. If the rifle is set-up to shoot without a can, it won't shoot as well with it. As for your "tacticool jones" comment, a rifle that can shoot 1.5MOA is more than enough to take out a game animal within ~600yds, and a rifle that can shoot 4MOA is enough to take down a human within 500yds. I don't know about you, but having been in both situations I was more than serious. Probably more serious than you have ever been about anything in your entire life.

Maraging steel has been used for a long time in pressure sensors... including those made to measure blast overpressure from explosives, and chamber pressures in firearms, all the way up to large caliber cannon where you see peak pressures like 140Kpsi. It's terrible for things like knives or structural members.
@energeticarmament6 жыл бұрын
I agree that C300 is not a good knifemaking material because it won't optimally hold a sharp edge. Bad for structural members though? It is used extensively for the landing gear structures on aircraft... not sure how much more of a important and dynamically stressed structural member you can get than that! Also nuclear centrifuges hence why it is ITAR export controlled.
@SiFiFreak6 жыл бұрын
Maraing would be terrible measuring pressure. I know they use a copper cylinder for 5 inch. The cylinder is places in the back of the casing and is crushed and gives you peak pressure. Maraging is very strong, but it is also brittle. It is also really expensive I think only 1 or 2 forges in the us even makes it, and vendors have to order like a year in a advance. At 140 ksi Maraging would see no deformation.
