I always wonder how they did the commercial with the scuba divers. Obviously the bunny wasn't really underwater. I wonder how they made the commercial look like that. I love the Purina Cat Chow commercial. The cat that tugged the lady's dress to get her attention must have seen the Energizer bunny coming. It must have been trying to tell the owner, "There's a pink rabbit with sunglasses and a drum in our house!" 😂

I've never seen the Purina Cat Chow one before. Made sense that this was one of the few real items used in an Energizer commercial, as Energizer was owned by Ralston Purina at the time.

I love the old Energizer bunny commercials!! I love the new ones, too. Some of my favorite newer ones are where he eats a carrot, brushes his teeth, goes outside where the little girl throws a snowball, and fixes a doll while he's dressed like a detective. The Supervolt commercials from the 1990s are great, too!! By the way, I noticed in the "Really White* commercial, the lady's sunglasses looked like the Energizer bunny's!!!

@lilblondiebear Same here, and I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it was because of his loud drumming. Maybe it was because his sunglasses looked like two big black eyes and his nose looked like a mouth. Maybe it was because of his advertising campaigns, whether he was interrupting commercials for fictional products (so you never knew when he was going to show up) or being hunted down by villains.

I could've sworn there was one ad from around 1989-1990 featuring Hostess Twinkies in it. All I can remember is that it had two kids coming home from school telling their mother they got straight As (A+s if you will) again, and the mother says it's Twinkies time. As she explains the Twinkies to the viewers, the Energizer Bunny appears out of nowhere.

One that's missing (that I have also never seen online) was one about a crowded unnamed bar/nightclub that prominently featured a jukebox and long counter bar. From my memory, the narration went "come to a place where the bar is HOT! The music's COOL! And the fun never stops! So when you're.." and then the Energizer bunny whizzed by on the extra long bartop, bringing an abrupt silence to the room, as everybody stopped what they were doing to stare at the Energizer bunny, which was now slowly moving backwards along the bar (backtracking over the part it had whizzed by). I think this came out at the same time as the grocery store and video game commercials, as I recall it also having that graphic seen at 10:08 (image of an Energizer battery with the words "Absolutely nothing lasts longer")
