You can move tariffs within your supplier to keep on the best tariff within them

Meanwhile gas prices are down to where they have been 2-3 years ago, but somehow the price cap isn't. And energy company profits gone up by an order of magnitude, but probably there's no relation.

This is not good news for all. Those using around 1800 kwh p.a., or less will pay the same monthly payment, or more, because of the various tariff changes

I fixed my gas pre-pay yesterday. It was more than 16% drop compared to the variable. No brainer really. Electric not so much.

Electric standing charge went up 12.6% apparently because of bad payers,so we all pay a £28 )evy

OFGEN not fit for purpose. The cut is taken away by the standing charge increase! Profiteering by the energy companies aided by OFGEN!! Like most poor reporting , you don’t give the whole picture!

i have just gone into a 12 month fixed, electric 25.18p and gas 6.08p .. i pay £83 a month. do you think it will be lower than i pay or do you think i did the right thing?

It's gives you stability, energy comes down in spring ,goes up October onwards due to demand.

Why are standing charges keep going up and up and up..? The failed companies should have been paid off months ago. The Warm homes discount scheme should be paid for from suppliers profits not customers. The price of electric production tariff should not be based on 100% gas powered production when all suppliers are claiming production is from over 75% renewables. Someone is getting VERY,VERY, rich from this. The standing charge is meant to pay for infrastructure and maintenance, how can such increases be justified ? Are distribution companies paying workers hundreds of percent more in salaries ? You can bet your ass they're not. Their infrastructure costs have not gone up significantly AT ALL. Total rip off...and if you rip me off don't be surprised if I reciprocate !
