Good video, but you are mistaken on Monzo. Even if you are using it as your main bank there is still an international ATM limit. Yes it is Unlimited within the EU * EEA if it's your main bank but if you are using your card outside then it is a £200/£600 (with some paid plans) per month withdrawal limit. Monzo app though is really fantastic, so using Monzo as your main bank for everyday spend on card and then using the first direct for a bank linked within the Monzo app for when you want to take out withdrawals is a great combo IMO

I got scammers calling me about my Revolut account last month (they stated the last 4 digits of my card which freaked me out). They claimed a botched login attempt from a new device in different location, and that all my Bank accounts were now flagged by the FCA for fraud proneness. I failed to find helplines for Revolut to double check the facts. Long story short, I used the in-app help in the HSBC app. The virtual bot connected me to a person the second i mentioned I was in the middle of a suspicious call and needed help. I'd shared with the callers info about the banks i use, what balance I hold with each. They were probably just a moment away from winding me up into a 'safety' transaction. Kudos to HSBC they saved me!

Not sure if that's gonna work with the monthly fee, but probably have gas and electricity and water bills paid from lite account and earn the cash back and probably council tax and broadband from edge account.?? As there is 2 bills paid by DD, that criteria is met. Also pay in £500 and take it out the next day into the other account, so that criteria is alao met. Or am i being dumb here?

Well, not really an increase in real terms. The £10k was introduced in 2008-ish. With cumulative inflation taken into account, £10k at the time of card introduction is equivalent to around £15.7k when using Bank of England inflation calculator. So in real terms the spend limit actually fell. I am surprised no one mentioned this. I guess people just expect companies to ignore inflation permanently ...

I've done most switching deals in last 7 months so not many options left. Already applied for this on Sunday.

Just leaving starling for my business account and Chase for personal and moving both to monzo. Chase are getting rid of the interest on the current account and savings interest reducing, Starling business while free does not have any savings accounts. The monzo app either its features, interest savings accounts and overdrafts gives me much more for personal and business although I did think long and hard when reading the reviews about accounts being frozen and negative customer services experiences. There are many more glowing reviews though so it feels right for me.
