The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire. Personally I hired ‘’Nicole Ann Sabin ’’ a financial advisor who sets asset allocation that fits my tolerance and risk capacity, investment horizon, present and future goals.

@@Korovkin_Pavel Indeed! Energy prices were already rising like hell since april 2021. There's no need for the prices to be so high. Energy companies abuse their power to get filthy rich and don't care how many lives they ruin doing so. For them is the Ukraine/russian war an ideal reason to profit even more.

We have several countries affected by gas shortages in Europe including France. Collectively, would they all offer labour support or help with other solutions such as African water shortages and geo thermal? Mission being heat for homes in winter. Floods should have kept people moving even. Unfortunately, waking up fresh every morning, we have to deal with these missions. Whether we like it or we do not. Because we are tough enough to survive all this.

EURO is the weakest currency compare to USD, GBP, AUD because of the NIRP. NIRP forces the ECB to continue to print without any possibility of tightening. Big corps will not park their money in Europe because of NIRP which is *guarantee* lost. That means ECB have to buy all the bonds that no big corps will absorb. Also ECB cannot let it mature, they have to keep buying because again no companies buying it, otherwise other european countries have no money to fund the government. All those years of NIRP have made ECB accumulated so much debts that they cannot possibly raise rate and they destroyed the pension funds. US and UK are still in +ve rate territory, so there will be big corps park their cash in the bond market. So the central bank can afford to tighten by raising rate, hence these currencies are relative stronger. USD will be the last game in town.

Inflation is from one place and one place only, it is from "government" working with central Banks to Print money and distribute this cash (mainly on bailing out Banks) through so-called quantitative easing, the present Government spending schemes will cause more Inflation (the curse of cheap money) Whats been mainly driving house Prices up was low interest Rates and a tsunami of readily available stream of cash. Government Ministers mostly think that "Inflation is something related to Bicycle Tires" They drive us around the bend (on rubber flat tires) giving out misleading and deceptive statements
