1StepPrep Professional Pilot Training Appritiate it. I'm doing my P1 training on the B737 NG and it's a new seat and a new airplane for me, hence very inquisitive. Currently in the process of watching your videos in relation to the 737. All are very well explained and get the feeling of one to one classroom learning which is extremely rare now.

Hi, Le's assume that I have clearance for a visual approach for a VOR landing at LFLL 35 L, and the chart for VOR (LSE) DME says that I should be at 2100 ft at 6 DME, 1790f ft at 5 DME, 1470 ft at 4 DME. These do not seem to align to the ×3 rule. If I use this rule I should be at 1800 ft at 6 DME, 1500ft at 5 DME and 1200 ft at 4DME correct?What am I mising here? Does the 3× rule work for landing visual or is there any other technique? Or it's not plausible to assume that one can land without using chart?
