Energy secretary Claire Coutinho MP accuses Labour of wanting to "rush ahead" of other nations in reducing carbon emissions, thereby increasing energy costs.
Ms Coutinho said that it was "not going to make a massive difference" that Rishi Sunak was attending campaign events on a private jet rather than using more sustainable transport methods.

What a Load of Old Cobblers. Not a word about the Standing Charge, which will inevitably Go Up. That charge shouldn’t even exist.

Net zero is not a program that I would subscribe to. We had no voice on this agenda! Forced into higher tariffs to pay for an impossible pipe dream.

We are still waiting for the Tories election manifesto of 2010 which was to being energy prices under control. They have risen far beyond anything the Tories have done to reduce them. It is piecemeal.

The temperature goes up and they lower the gas prices..... im noticing the electric bill has started getting a lot higher 🤔 when they stop boasting record profits and i can afford to both turn the lights or heating on and eat, i will believe they have lowered the energy costs

I tell uaswell the vocal parts of the public already made the decision to ignore the reality of the character and to go for Kier Starmer. But in the ideal world it matters about the policy we will soon hear. from both. And we know that Kier is all about Football funding, NHS, Same Stance on Ukraine and Same Stance in Israel and then maybe blow a load on an private AI company gamble. For the virtue. SO. its not my issue. its the british publics issue that they cannot work together and see two wildly differnt end results in both candidates, despite having near identical policy bar the one defining factor NHS. Remember Bojo already built wind farms, to huge scales. Funded it already. It is possible that conservative party behaviour will define them as unsuitable as the chaos of leadership and number of leaders they had produced, number of party shuffles and rage quitters. Will had dropped British publics respect for the organisation and stability of that party. In short. do they get what they vote for? that may be the concern.

Why no drive for solar panels on council houses, or implementation of newer technology. There are now designs for windboxes, that could fit on proves to generate power, there's also minimally invasive tech to generate power from rivers and streams. Methods that could make households independent in creating free energy. Yet crickets on such matters.

It all started when Cameron decided to 'cut the green crap' Since then we could have been insulating homes and businesses, got planning permission for green energy projects, invested in green technology that has improved over the years... But no, were sticking with paying oil and gas companies
