Nice video ))......As note, this works well against those that don't know about rudder turning in arcade. Fighting against a pilot with equal abilities may prove daunting and may be forced to really squeeze out every bit of airspeed.

4:20 Wow, red engine, and still managed. Energy traps do work in arcade, most of my kills look scarry similar to these. I tend to use a shallow spiral climb with wider turns. tightening the turns as i get right above the enemy. As soon as the enemy changes direction i will be on top of him. I play mostly USA. so I am kinda limited to energy trapping.

You have to make some edits to the war thunder config file. You can only do it on PC. There are several vids on KZbin that show you how to do this.

nose down early and either GTFO before you lose your tail or use that speed to try take a snapshot while the target is hanging at stall speed. just dont nose up at them if your speed is low and theyre above.

Energy trapping is only useful against those who don’t know how to easily counter it. Especially in higher br’s and in realistic you find many people trying to energy trap but end up bleeding all their airspeed and getting shot from below while they stall out. It’s very frustrating to play against energy trappers because they only do that and don’t actually know how to dogfight an adversary with the same energy. Making it very boring.
